Concern Worldwide is recruiting an IT Support Officer to join its ICT team in Dublin. This permanent, full-time hybrid role offers an opportunity to contribute to the operations of a leading international humanitarian organisation dedicated to eliminating extreme poverty. Role Purpose The IT Support Officer provides Level 1 technical support and ensures the effective functioning of client-side IT services. The role focuses on: Responding to technical support requests Maintaining service-level standards Escalating issues when required Tracking and resolving IT incidents efficiently Supported services include: Microsoft productivity tools Microsoft Office 365 Phone systems Mobile applications File services Application support Print services Key Responsibilities Help Desk Service Provision Log and manage support tickets Provide timely and professional user support (in-person, phone, email, remote) Troubleshoot using structured methodologies Escalate issues appropriately and track resolution Document outcomes and maintain records Hardware and Software Installation Image, test, and install PCs Install and configure phones Connect users to network services (printers, email) Maintain Dublin-based printers Configure antivirus and patch software Support client-side software configuration Set up emergency response IT equipment Provide pre-departure IT support for offsite staff Application Support and Training Support Office 365 applications Assist in planning and delivering user training Contribute to induction sessions Meeting & Conference Room Support Set up and maintain conference room technology Facilitate meeting technology where required Field Capacity Building Provide guidance to field-based IT officers Maintain global asset registers and network plans Departmental and Project Support Coordinate equipment supply with IT Administrator Assist with implementation of IT projects Provide overseas support assignments when required Offer cover for colleagues Complete additional assigned tasks Essential Requirements Candidates should demonstrate: At least one year’s experience in a busy IT department Experience supporting Windows environments Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Knowledge of PC upgrades, testing, and maintenance Ability to repair PC, laptop, and printer faults Customer-focused mindset Strong English communication skills (oral and written) Adaptability and willingness to learn Flexibility to travel and work varied hours Desirable Skills Strong knowledge of Office 365 administration Experience supporting Azure AD Equality and Inclusion Concern Worldwide encourages applications from all qualified candidates regardless of: Gender Ethnicity or origin Disability Political or religious beliefs Sexual orientation Socio-economic background The organisation is committed to eliminating discrimination and unequal power relations.
