The position is based in Nairobi, Kenya, and plays a critical role in ensuring that ICT operations are secure, efficient, innovative, and aligned with organizational standards and global best practices. Concern Worldwide Kenya operates in line with the organization’s global ICT strategy, ensuring that technology effectively supports program delivery, accountability, safeguarding, and operational excellence. The ICT Officer will contribute directly to this mission by ensuring reliable digital systems and responsive user support. Position Overview The ICT Officer will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving ICT systems across the Kenya country office. The role focuses on operational ICT support, innovation, and compliance with organizational policies and standards. Working closely with staff across departments, the ICT Officer will ensure the availability, security, and effectiveness of ICT infrastructure, applications, and services. The position also contributes to the implementation of ICT strategies that enhance efficiency, data protection, and digital transformation. Key Focus Areas The ICT Officer’s work will be structured around the following priority areas: ICT systems support and innovation Cloud-based platforms and digital tools Network infrastructure and data management End-user support and helpdesk coordination ICT policy implementation and compliance Key Responsibilities Under the guidance of the Country Office leadership and in alignment with Concern Worldwide’s global ICT framework, the ICT Officer will: Provide day-to-day ICT support to staff, ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software, and connectivity issues Manage and support cloud platforms, networks, servers, and data storage systems Oversee user access management, data security, and backup procedures Coordinate helpdesk services, including logging, prioritizing, and resolving ICT support requests Support the implementation of ICT strategies, policies, and standard operating procedures Ensure compliance with organizational ICT, data protection, and information security policies Assist with the rollout and maintenance of new ICT systems and digital tools Conduct routine system maintenance, updates, and performance monitoring Support staff onboarding and offboarding processes from an ICT perspective Provide basic user training and guidance to improve digital literacy and system use Document ICT processes, configurations, and incident reports as required Contract Details Contract Type: Fixed-term Duration: 12 months Duty Station: Nairobi, Kenya Position Type: National Compensation Gross Salary: KES 173,000 per month The remuneration package is aligned with national salary scales and reflects the responsibilities of the role.
