Internship Overview and Structure The Fundraising and Communications Internship is structured as a remote, part-time opportunity offering hands-on exposure to international development communications and fundraising operations. Key role details include: Position: Fundraising & Communications Intern Duration: 6 months Working arrangement: 3 days per week (approximately 22 hours), flexible schedule Location: Remote (home-based, with time zone flexibility) Start date: 20 July 2026 Reporting line: Fundraising and Communications Manager Remuneration: Volunteer role with reimbursement of reasonable expenses, including a small daily lunch allowance The internship is designed as a mutual learning opportunity, allowing participants to contribute existing skills while gaining experience across communications, fundraising, and programme support functions. Role Responsibilities The intern will assist the Fundraising and Communications Manager and support external engagement activities across multiple platforms. Responsibilities include: Collecting programme stories, photographs, and video materials from field teams Supporting content creation for websites, newsletters, social media, and reports Assisting in designing visual materials for digital and print communications Contributing to internal and external communication strategies Monitoring engagement metrics and supporting performance reporting Assisting in fundraising campaigns, donor communication, and proposal development Updating and managing the organisation’s CRM system The role is expected to involve real-time, public-facing communications outputs that contribute directly to organisational visibility and donor engagement. Candidate Profile and Required Skills Concordis International is seeking applicants with a strong interest in international development, peacebuilding, and communications. The role is suitable for individuals looking to build experience in fundraising and strategic communication within the non-profit sector. Ideal candidates should demonstrate: Strong written and verbal communication skills Interest in peacebuilding, humanitarian work, or international development Experience or familiarity with graphic design tools such as Canva Organisational ability and attention to detail Ability to work independently in a remote environment Interest in fundraising, donor relations, or communications strategy Skills in one or more of the following areas: Content writing and journalism Graphic design and visual communication CRM systems and data management Social media and newsletter development UX/UI design or website platforms such as Squarespace Fluency in English is required Knowledge of French and/or Arabic is considered an advantage due to Concordis’ multilingual operations Application Process and Requirements Applicants are required to follow a structured submission process to be considered for the internship.
