Concordis International is seeking a Fundraising and Communications (F&C) Intern to support its global peacebuilding mission across fragile and conflict-affected contexts. This remote internship offers a meaningful opportunity to gain hands-on experience in international development, strategic communications, and fundraising while contributing to real-world peacebuilding efforts. The role is designed as a part-time internship, requiring approximately three days or 22 hours per week, with flexible working hours and accommodation for different time zones. The internship is scheduled to begin in early February 2026 and will run for six months. About Concordis International Concordis International is a UK-registered charity delivering peacebuilding programmes in regions affected by armed conflict, including: Central African Republic Cameroon Chad Sudan Abyei South Sudan The organisation’s vision is for communities impacted by conflict to have the tools, resources, and capacity needed to manage disputes peacefully and build sustainable futures. Concordis works alongside local communities, civil society organisations, and national governments to address the root causes of conflict and support long-term peace and development. Internship Overview The Fundraising and Communications Intern will support Concordis’ external engagement, communications, and income-generation efforts, working closely with the Fundraising and Communications Manager and collaborating with UK-based staff and Programme Managers. This internship is intentionally structured as a two-way learning experience. Interns are encouraged to bring their existing skills while also exploring new areas of work, developing additional competencies, and gaining exposure to different aspects of fundraising, communications, and peacebuilding. The work undertaken by the intern will be real, relevant, and public-facing, contributing directly to Concordis’ visibility, donor relationships, and organisational impact. Role Information Position: Fundraising & Communications Intern Location: Remote (work from home) Reporting to: Fundraising and Communications Manager Duration: 6 months Time commitment: 3 days / 22 hours per week Start date: Early February 2026 Remuneration: Volunteer position Reasonable expenses reimbursed Small daily lunch allowance provided Key Responsibilities The Fundraising and Communications Intern will support a broad range of activities, including: Communications Support Gathering stories and updates from programme staff across country offices Assisting with the creation of content for: Website Newsletters Social media platforms Reports and donor-facing materials Supporting the design and layout of digital and print communications materials Assisting with internal communications and team coordination Fundraising and Donor Engagement Supporting fundraising campaigns and donor communications Assisting with proposal development and donor reporting Updating and managing CRM systems and contact databases Monitoring and Reporting Monitoring engagement metrics across communications platforms Supporting reporting on outreach and communications performance Who Should Apply Concordis welcomes applications from candidates who demonstrate: A strong interest in peacebuilding, international development, or humanitarian work Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Confidence working independently and as part of a remote team An interest in, or early experience with, fundraising, donor engagement, or communications Applicants with skills or interest in one or more of the following areas are particularly encouraged to apply: Content writing or journalism Graphic design or visual communications CRM systems and contact database management Newsletters and email marketing Social media management UX/UI design Squarespace or comparable content management systems A high level of fluency in English is essential. French and/or Arabic language skills are considered a strong asset.
