The organisation invites applications for the position of 2026 Summer Analyst within its Investment Team, offering an exceptional 10-week learning experience designed to provide hands-on exposure to endowment and investment management. This highly selective internship presents an opportunity for motivated students to work directly with experienced investment professionals, develop analytical skills, and gain insights into portfolio construction, asset allocation, and investment decision-making processes. The Summer Analyst will play an integral role in supporting the firm’s investment operations, participating in meetings with current and prospective investment managers across multiple asset classes, and contributing to a variety of research and analytical projects. Throughout the programme, each analyst will be paired with a dedicated investment professional who will serve as a mentor—providing guidance, monitoring progress, and helping to shape the analyst’s long-term career aspirations in the investment field. Immersive Learning Through the EMIF Program In addition to the core internship experience, the Summer Analyst will take part in the Endowment Management Investment Fellowship (EMIF)—a prestigious initiative that connects promising students with leading university and foundation investment offices. The EMIF aims to introduce participants to careers in endowment and foundation management, providing a structured and immersive professional development platform. At the start of the summer, Fellows will attend a multi-day seminar focused on the fundamentals of investment management. Sessions will include interactive lectures, case studies, and panel discussions led by senior professionals with deep experience in managing institutional portfolios. Through this seminar, participants will gain a foundational understanding of asset allocation strategies, risk management, governance, and the broader role of endowments in supporting institutional missions. Throughout the summer, EMIF Fellows will work full-time within their assigned investment teams—contributing to ongoing projects, analyzing data, and participating in high-level meetings. Weekly sessions will provide opportunities to engage with a wide range of fund managers and industry leaders, covering topics such as private equity, public markets, real assets, and impact investing. At the end of the programme, all Fellows will reconvene in San Francisco to share their experiences, reflect on key learnings, and discuss emerging trends in endowment management. Key Responsibilities The 2026 Summer Analyst will be a fully integrated member of the Investment Team, contributing to both daily operations and strategic initiatives. Primary responsibilities include: Investment Evaluation: Collaborate with team members to assess potential new investments by participating in manager meetings, conducting due diligence, and performing quantitative and qualitative analyses. Portfolio Monitoring: Assist in maintaining and updating portfolio databases, review investment manager communications, and analyze performance reports to track portfolio developments. Research and Analysis: Execute ad hoc research assignments on industries, markets, and investment strategies in collaboration with the team, contributing to internal presentations and discussions. Team Collaboration: Participate in regular team meetings and discussions, offering analytical insights and supporting decision-making processes related to asset allocation and manager selection. EMIF Engagement: Actively participate in EMIF seminars, workshops, and group meetings, sharing learning outcomes and contributing to peer discussions about investment practices and portfolio trends. Professional Development and Mentorship A defining feature of the programme is its strong mentorship component. Each Summer Analyst will be paired with a senior investment professional who provides structured guidance throughout the internship. Mentors will help analysts set clear goals, track progress, and explore potential career paths within investment management. The internship also includes opportunities to interact with senior members of the investment office and visiting managers, offering exposure to a range of perspectives within the global investment landscape. Participants will develop practical skills in financial modelling, performance evaluation, and investment analysis, while also enhancing communication, teamwork, and critical thinking capabilities. Compensation and Benefits The Summer Analyst programme offers a competitive compensation package designed to ensure accessibility and comfort throughout the internship. Participants will receive: A stipend commensurate with experience and performance expectations. Housing and transportation support, ensuring analysts can focus on professional growth and learning. Full participation in EMIF activities, including travel to the opening and closing seminars. This package reflects the organisation’s commitment to providing equitable opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds and creating a supportive environment conducive to both professional and personal development. Key attributes include: Demonstrated academic excellence and quantitative proficiency. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in team-oriented environments.
