The Economic Community of West African States has opened applications for multiple job positions across its institutions. This was disclosed on the organisation’s official website, where it called on qualified candidates from ECOWAS member states to apply for roles across various sectors. The positions span key areas such as administration, finance, trade, infrastructure, health, telecommunications, legal affairs, and security. The bloc comprises member states including Benin, Cape Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo, with its headquarters located in Abuja, Nigeria. ECOWAS operates in three official languages: English, French, and Portuguese and oversees several specialised institutions such as the ECOWAS Parliament, the Community Court of Justice, the West African Health Organization (WAHO), and the Intergovernmental Action Group against Money Laundering (GIABA).
