Enumeration Jobs: Data Lead Africa (Borno State) Organization: Data Lead Africa Position: Enumerators Location: Borno State (MMC, Jere, and Konduga LGAs) Project: Sanitation Marketing Formative Assessment Application Deadline: 05 March 2026 Project Overview Data Lead Africa is conducting a critical study to map out household sanitation behaviors and the prevailing market dynamics in Borno. The data collected will directly influence the design of market-based sanitation (MBS) interventions—a strategy that moves beyond just building toilets to creating a sustainable commercial market for sanitation products and services. Key Responsibilities Field Data Collection: Conduct detailed household surveys and semi-structured stakeholder interviews. Digital Tool Usage: Utilize mobile data collection platforms (such as KoboCollect, ODK, or Survey123) to record findings in real-time. Community Engagement: Navigate and work within diverse communities in Maiduguri Metropolitan Council (MMC), Jere, and Konduga LGAs. Data Integrity: Ensure high-quality, accurate data entry while maintaining the privacy of respondents. Candidate Requirements Experience: Proven track record in field data collection, particularly in humanitarian or developmental research. Technical Skills: High proficiency in using digital data collection tools and mobile devices. Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with community members and local stakeholders. Language Proficiency: * English and Hausa: Mandatory fluency for interview conducting and reporting. Kanuri: A significant advantage for deeper community immersion and rapport building. Why This Role Matters Sanitation is a cornerstone of public health in Borno. By identifying the barriers households face in adopting better sanitation practices, you help create a roadmap for interventions that can reduce the incidence of waterborne diseases and improve the quality of life in these specific LGAs. Method of Application Qualified candidates should complete the official Google Form application immediately, as the deadline is fast approaching. Apply Online: Data Lead Africa Enumerator Application Note: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the next stage of the assessment.
