The Environmental Investment Fund (EIF) of Namibia is dedicated to advancing the socio-economic and environmental development of Namibia. As part of this mission, the Fund invites applications for undergraduate and postgraduate bursaries from Namibian youth aged 18 to 35 years. These bursaries support studies in Namibia, the SADC region, and beyond, focusing on fields that promote sustainability, environmental management, and climate action. Eligible Fields of Study Undergraduate ProgramsApplicants seeking undergraduate bursaries may apply for studies in the following fields or closely related disciplines: Renewable Energy Agriculture Ecology & Biodiversity Conservation / Natural Science Management Environmental Management Sustainable Development Climate Financing Low-Carbon Technology and Related Areas Postgraduate ProgramsPostgraduate bursaries are available for advanced studies in: Master in Agricultural Engineering Master in Renewable Energy Master of Science in Agriculture Master in Sustainable Energy Systems Master in Green Climate Financing Master in Natural Science Management Master in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Master in Environmental Law Note: Applications for fields outside those listed will not be considered. Eligibility Criteria Applicants must meet the following requirements to qualify for an EIF bursary: Namibian citizenship Grade 12 Certificate (or provisional results) Academic progress report if already enrolled at a university, technikon, or university of technology Provisional acceptance at a recognised higher education institution accredited by the Namibia Qualifications Authority (NQA) Preference will be given to candidates from marginalised communities. Applicants with disabilities should indicate the nature of their disability on the application form. Application Process Applicants must follow these steps to apply: Download Application Form Available on the EIF website Prepare Supporting DocumentsInclude certified copies of: Grade 12 Certificate or provisional results Academic progress report (if currently enrolled in a tertiary institution) Acceptance letter or proof of application to a recognised institution Submit Application Completed forms and supporting documents must be emailed to: bursaries@eif.org.na Shortlisting and Interviews Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews. Application Deadline All applications must be submitted by 30 November 2026. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
