Key Responsibilities The Mining Technology Consultant’s responsibilities include a combination of system implementation, client support, and process alignment. Contributing to the design and implementation of the mine scheduling platform. Configuring system components according to standards, documentation, and project plans. Supporting all phases of testing, including internal and client-facing cycles. Preparing and delivering structured training materials to ensure user competency. Assisting with software adoption and integration into existing client workflows. Participating in value-assessment and proof-of-value initiatives. Supporting standardisation of configuration approaches across multiple clients. Maintaining accurate records of configuration plans, parameters, and system changes. Providing frontline technical support and logging client tickets. Following Epiroc’s adoption and implementation methodologies. Conducting current-state and future-state process mapping when needed. Sharing client insights and feedback to support product and process improvement. These responsibilities require strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Candidate Profile Epiroc seeks a candidate with the technical foundation and practical experience required to manage complex mining technology projects. The ideal applicant will have: A tertiary qualification (degree or diploma) in: Mining Engineering Industrial Engineering Another relevant engineering discipline Or qualifications related to Mine Technical Services (e.g., Geology, Survey) Proven practical mining exposure, particularly in: Mine planning Mine design Scheduling processes Experience working in a consulting environment, ideally within the mining industry. Exposure to business or mining-related implementation or digital transformation projects. Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and client training. Problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse and improve processes. A collaborative, self-driven approach, suitable for dynamic project environments. This position is offered as a 12-month contract, based on-site in Centurion, Pretoria, with a closing date of 23 November 2025.
