Application Deadline

October 6, 2026

Description

FG Shortlist Applicants For Next Phase Waste To Wealth Initiative Training – Following the successful pilot of the Circular Economy Youth Empowerment Initiative for Climate Action, popularly known as Waste to Wealth, in Katsina State, the Federal Ministry of Youth Development has commenced the next phase of the initiative with a one-month Youth Training and Internship Programme across five additional locations. Training Locations: The programme is being implemented in Borno State, Lagos State, Enugu State, Akwa lbom State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja), as part of the Ministry’s broader efforts to equip young Nigerians with practical, market-relevant skills and create pathways to sustainable livelihoods within the emerging circular economy. The initiative is designed to provide beneficiaries with hands-on training in upcycling, recycling, creative craft and other circular economy-related skills, enabling them to transform waste materials into useful, innovative and environmentally friendly products. The internship component will further provide participants with practical workplace exposure and an opportunity to apply their newly acquired skills in real-world settings. The programme is powered by ActionAid, in partnership with UpTex, Green Axis, Craftopia, TA&A and The Upcycle Architect. How To Confirm Training Selection: All applicants who have been successfully selected to participate in the one-month Youth Training and Internship Programme are advised to check the email addresses provided during registration for their official selection and confirmation slips. Applicants are particularly encouraged to check their Spam, Junk, Promotions and other email folders, as confirmation messages may have been automatically filtered into these folders. Successful beneficiaries are advised to carefully review their confirmation slips and all accompanying instructions and to regularly monitor their email accounts for further updates concerning the training, internship placement and other participation requirements. The commencement of the programme across these five additional locations, following the Katsina pilot, marks another significant step in the Ministry’s efforts to scale up youth-focused green skills development and expand access to opportunities with the circular economy. The Ministry remains committed to extending the Waste to Wealth Initiative to additional states across the country, with the objective of reaching more young Nigerians and providing them with the skills, experience and opportunities required to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s sustainable development and green economy. The post FG Shortlist Applicants For Next Phase Waste To Wealth Initiative Training first appeared on Opportunities Hub.
