Minimum Qualifications FH Kenya is seeking a Program Manager who brings both technical expertise and strong leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate would demonstrate: 5–7 years of experience in program management, financial management, and compliance. Experience in social innovation, MSME development, or related fields. Strong expertise in: Human-centered design Design research Design thinking methodologies Experience coordinating with development stakeholders, including: Government agencies Sector working groups International and local NGOs Private and institutional donors Demonstrated success leading and supervising multi-functional teams. A Bachelor’s degree in: Development studies Social sciences Business administration Agricultural sciences Environmental or resilience programming A postgraduate qualification in: Project management Development studies Business innovation Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)is considered an added advantage. Key Responsibilities The Program Manager will provide strategic leadership and ensure successful execution of diverse program activities. Responsibilities include: Program Planning and Management Lead end-to-end program planning processes. Oversee implementation of activities to ensure alignment with program goals. Monitor progress to ensure quality, effectiveness, and accountability. Strengthening Social Innovation Introduce and manage innovations that enhance program impact. Promote approaches that support MSME growth and community resilience. Integrate design thinking and human-centered design into program cycles. Strategic Partnerships and Business Development Build and maintain partnerships with donors, NGOs, and government partners. Represent FH Kenya in sectoral working groups and strategic forums. Contribute to resource mobilization and proposal development. Program Documentation, Reporting, and M&E Ensure timely and accurate program reporting. Strengthen documentation of lessons learned and best practices. Support Monitoring and Evaluation frameworks to drive data-guided decisions. Financial, Procurement, and Risk Management Provide oversight of budgets, financial reporting, and compliance. Ensure procurement practices align with organisational standards. Identify and mitigate program risks through proactive management. Leadership, Culture, and Talent Development Support development of team capacity and performance. Foster a values-centered culture that reflects FH’s Heartbeat Values. Provide mentorship, coaching, and leadership guidance to staff.
