About the Fellowship The Food Lab Fellowship is part of the Jan van Eyck Academie’s broader commitment to artistic research in urgent ecological and social questions. Fellowship Duration and Residency Structure The residency runs for nearly one year: Residency period: 15 January – 15 December 2027 Application deadline: 4 June 2026 (23:59 CEST) The fellow is expected to reside in Maastricht or within 10km of the city during the programme. What the Fellowship Offers The Food Lab Fellowship provides a structured research environment combining artistic practice, scientific collaboration, and institutional support. Financial Support The selected fellow receives: A monthly stipend of €1,750 A working budget of €2,250 per year Up to €750 travel support for fieldwork in Venlo Exemption from enrolment fees The stipend is partially tax-exempt under Dutch regulations.
