The project brings together women’s health research, digital technology and data analysis to investigate patterns involving cravings, menstrual cycles and mood. It may appeal to candidates interested in AI, digital health, women’s health, behavioural science or health data. 2. Cycles, Signals and Causality A Bristol-based project, this research focuses on developing methods for the robust analysis of digital health data collected across menstrual cycles. The project addresses important methodological questions around digital health research and causality. Menstrual Health and Intersectional Inequalities This Bristol-based studentship will investigate menstrual health through an intersectional inequalities perspective using mixed-methods research. What the GW4 BioMed3 Studentships Provide The GW4 BioMed3 programme offers a comprehensive funding package to successful doctoral researchers. Students will receive full tuition fees at the UK/Home rate together with a stipend at the minimum UKRI rate. In addition, researchers will have access to a Research and Training Support Grant (RTSG) worth between £2,000 and £5,000 per year. The funding package also includes a £300 annual travel and conference grant, helping students participate in academic events, conferences and other relevant research activities. Part-time study options may also be available, although funding will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis. For international students, the programme provides an important funding advantage. Although the standard studentship covers tuition at the UK/Home rate, the host institutions will cover the additional international tuition fee costs for eligible international students.
