Available Positions: GAYO – Climate Action and Environmental Sustainability Recruitment 1. Project Coordinator – Adaptation & ResilienceThe Project Coordinator for Adaptation & Resilience will lead initiatives aimed at strengthening communities’ capacity to adapt to climate change. The coordinator will oversee program implementation, monitor progress, and ensure that adaptation strategies align with local and regional environmental priorities. Responsibilities include coordinating stakeholders, tracking project outcomes, reporting on progress, and contributing to evidence-based solutions that enhance resilience against climate-related risks. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, experience in climate adaptation initiatives, and a passion for environmental sustainability. 2. Project Coordinator – Energy ProjectThe Project Coordinator for the Energy Project will manage programs focused on sustainable and renewable energy solutions. The coordinator will support energy access initiatives, energy efficiency programs, and innovative clean energy interventions that contribute to climate action goals. Key responsibilities include project planning, stakeholder engagement, monitoring and reporting, and ensuring that energy initiatives meet their targets in line with sustainable development priorities. Candidates should have expertise in energy project management, knowledge of renewable energy technologies, and the ability to work collaboratively with communities and partners. 3. Project Manager – Zero Waste ProjectThe Project Manager for the Zero Waste Project will lead initiatives aimed at reducing waste, promoting circular economy practices, and implementing sustainable waste management solutions. The manager will oversee project design, implementation, and evaluation while coordinating activities with multiple stakeholders. Responsibilities include developing project plans, mobilizing resources, conducting training and awareness campaigns, tracking outcomes, and ensuring alignment with national and regional environmental policies. The ideal candidate will have experience in waste management or sustainability projects, excellent leadership skills, and a strong commitment to creating measurable environmental impact. Scope of Roles and Responsibilities All positions involve leading and managing projects that contribute directly to climate action and environmental sustainability goals. Responsibilities across all roles include coordinating project activities, monitoring implementation, preparing reports and project documentation, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring that programs align with both organizational objectives and broader environmental policies. Each role will also involve community engagement, capacity building, and ensuring that projects incorporate inclusive and equitable practices that benefit diverse populations. Successful candidates will contribute to the development of sustainable practices, innovative solutions, and evidence-based strategies to tackle climate change, energy access challenges, and waste management issues. Qualifications and Experience Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills.
