The Opportunity The Senior Philanthropy Advisor role is ideal for individuals who thrive in strategic, advisory, and relationship-driven work. This position emphasizes guiding clients rather than direct program implementation or fieldwork. What the role does not involve: Extensive travel (domestic travel is minimal, no international travel) Direct program implementation or grantee management Specialization in a single issue area—advising spans diverse philanthropic interests Position Overview As a Senior Philanthropy Advisor on the Donor Advising Team, the incumbent will: Lead and nurture relationships with foundations and high-net-worth individuals Guide clients through complex philanthropic decisions Shape and implement strategies to maximize impact Oversee multiple client workstreams ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget adherence Anticipate client needs and develop tailored solutions using the right mix of methodology and expertise The role also includes leadership responsibilities: Providing project-based guidance and daily support to team members Fostering a collaborative team environment Delivering feedback and coaching to strengthen team performance Key Qualifications Geneva Global seeks candidates who demonstrate: Project management excellence: Ability to lead multiple workstreams and respond to ad hoc client requests Critical thinking and analytical skills: Strong capability to execute deliverables efficiently Communication expertise: Proficiency in writing, editing, and facilitation Team orientation: Positive, collaborative mindset; ability to lead and support in a fast-paced environment Relationship-building skills: Proven success in cultivating new client relationships and enhancing existing ones Leadership experience: Effective people-management skills and a track record of guiding teams Additional qualifications: High emotional intelligence and rapport-building skills Minimum of 10 years’ professional experience in global health, development, philanthropy, communications, or fundraising Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with project management, collaboration, and CRM platforms Experience engaging multiple stakeholders and leading teams Bachelor’s degree or higher; advanced degrees are a plus Working at Geneva Global Geneva Global emphasizes a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and professional growth.
