Location: Remote, preferably in the Global Majority WorldPosition Type: Full-time (Consultant/Staff, depending on location)Reporting To: Director of OperationsCompensation: $41,000–$51,000 USD, depending on location and experienceLanguages Required: English (required); French or Spanish (desirable) About Girls First Fund The Girls First Fund (GFF) is a donor collaborative supported by philanthropic organizations and individual philanthropists committed to community-led efforts that enable girls to live free from child marriage. The Fund emphasizes empowering locally driven organizations, engaging vulnerable girls, understanding cultural norms, and partnering with local stakeholders to create sustainable solutions. GFF is a fiscally sponsored program of Capital for Good, a US 501(c)(3) public charity. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Position Overview The Operations Associate joins GFF’s Operations team to provide administrative and operational support that ensures smooth functioning of the organization and effective resourcing of grant partners. The role works closely with the Senior Operations Officer and Director of Operations to implement policies and systems that strengthen operational processes and enhance team efficiency. This role is fully remote, with potential international travel to core GFF countries, conferences, or events. Core Responsibilities Grants Management: Assist with due diligence and compliance for grantee partners in partnership with the Programs team. Support administrative steps in grantmaking, including OFAC checks, monitoring grant payments, and documenting processes in the Grant Management System (GMS). Draft official communications to grantees and liaise with GFF’s fiscal sponsor. Monitor country-specific inboxes in collaboration with the Programs team to ensure smooth grant administration. Operational Support: Implement and operationalize GFF policies with guidance from leadership. Monitor general inquiries and recruitment emails, responding or redirecting as needed. Manage and organize GFF SharePoint site and operational documentation. Support stipend payments, vendor and team onboarding, and process improvements for efficiency. Travel and Event Logistics: Assist team members with travel documentation and official letters. Provide administrative and logistical support for retreats, workshops, events, and team-building activities. Coordinate translation and interpretation services to ensure language equity and inclusivity. Other Duties: Participate actively in internal initiatives and team activities. Perform additional duties as assigned to support GFF operations. Skills and Qualifications The ideal candidate demonstrates: Commitment to racial, social, and economic justice, with awareness of structural issues affecting collaborative work. Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work independently and think creatively. Passion for community-led development, gender equality, and grassroots movement building. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication in English; fluency in other operational languages (Spanish, French, Hindi, Nepali) is an advantage. Minimum 2 years of experience supporting operational processes in a global context.
