About Global Fund for Children International organization partnering with community-based groups in over 34 countries Focus on justice, equity, and opportunity for children and youth Provides flexible funding, capacity development, and global connections Fully distributed global team Role Overview Title: Senior Manager, Global People and CultureReports to: Senior Advisor, People & CultureType: Full-timeWork model: Remote, globally distributed This role serves as the operational and systems backbone of the People & Culture function. The Senior Manager ensures strong people systems, compliance, equitable support, and consistent employee experience across regions, contracts, and time zones. Key Responsibilities 1. People and Culture Operations and Systems Lead global P&C operations across multiple time zones Manage contracts, HRIS development, documentation, and compliance Coordinate onboarding and offboarding with Finance and Operations Maintain accurate global people records and reporting Design templates, workflows, and toolkits to improve efficiency Manage PEO/EOR partners across countries, including benefits, compliance, and issue resolution 2. First-Line Staff and Manager Support Act as first point of contact for P&C policies, benefits, and leave Provide guidance on routine employee relations matters Support managers with tools and processes for supervision Ensure staff clarity on employment terms through close coordination with PEO/EORs 3. Implementation of People and Culture Initiatives Provide project management for P&C initiatives Track progress across culture, wellbeing, compensation, and staff development work Support employee relations processes, investigations, and documentation 4. Strengthening Global P&C Infrastructure Review, update, and guide implementation of P&C policies globally Support compensation, performance management, and development systems Navigate governance and Board approval processes with legal and governance teams Participate in recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding Identify opportunities to improve systems and operational effectiveness Required Qualifications Significant experience in global People & Culture or HR operations Strong understanding of international employment compliance Experience managing PEO/EOR partners Excellent communication skills in English Proven ability to support distributed, multicultural teams High integrity, discretion, and sound judgment Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, anti-racism, and wellbeing HR qualification or affiliation with a recognized HR professional body Preferred Qualifications Experience as a global HR generalist HRIS and digital workflow experience Experience supporting DEIA or organizational change initiatives Multilingual abilities or additional certifications Location and Contract Open to candidates globally Must overlap with US Pacific and Eastern time zones US and UK candidates eligible for direct hire Other locations hired via PEO/EOR arrangements Salary and Benefits US salary range: USD 85,000–110,000 (experience dependent) International salaries locally benchmarked Comprehensive health insurance Generous paid time off and wellbeing leave Flexible work arrangements Pension contributions and employee assistance services Professional development funding How to Apply Submit a CV and brief cover letter responding to four application questions via the GFC application link.
