The six-month, full-time internship is based in Amsterdam and is designed for aspiring finance professionals seeking exposure to global financial reporting, budgeting processes, and data analysis within a multinational nonprofit environment. According to Greenpeace International, the internship forms part of the organization’s Global Finance Unit, which works to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the global Greenpeace network. The selected intern will provide key support to financial reporting processes while developing valuable professional skills in finance, accounting, and business analysis. Applicants must already reside in the Netherlands or be able to relocate quickly at their own expense. Candidates must also possess, or be able to obtain, a Dutch residence permit and Dutch social security number (BSN) on short notice. The successful candidate will assist in developing financial reporting templates, supporting data consolidation from Greenpeace entities around the world, and helping ensure compliance with internal reporting standards and controls. Greenpeace International is seeking applicants with strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. A basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements is also required, along with excellent English communication skills and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team environment. The organization noted that familiarity with digital collaboration tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom would be advantageous, although not mandatory. The internship is specifically intended for students and recent graduates with less than 12 months of relevant professional experience. Successful applicants will receive a monthly net stipend of €800, based on a full-time 40-hour work week. Additional benefits include a laptop for work purposes, reimbursement of eligible travel expenses within the Netherlands, meal allowances of €5 per working day, and 2.5 days of leave per month. Greenpeace International also supports a hybrid work model, allowing interns to combine remote work with attendance at its Amsterdam office when required. Beyond practical experience, interns will gain access to learning and professional development opportunities, wellbeing initiatives, and employee-led Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion communities. The organization emphasizes creating a supportive and inclusive workplace where individuals from diverse backgrounds can contribute and thrive. Greenpeace International is widely recognized for its environmental advocacy campaigns focused on biodiversity protection, climate action, pollution prevention, nuclear disarmament, and the promotion of peace and nonviolence. The organization operates through a global network of independent national and regional offices coordinated by Greenpeace International. Applicants are required to submit an English-language CV and complete an online application addressing key selection criteria. The application must also include written confirmation of the candidate’s legal eligibility to work, study, or reside in the Netherlands. The application deadline is Monday, June 22, 2026, at 23:59 CEST (Amsterdam time).
