Position 1: Digital Marketing Manager Department: Engagement DepartmentReports to: Engagement DirectorLocation: Remote (based in the MENA region) Overall Purpose The Digital Marketing Manager will define and lead the strategic direction of Greenpeace MENA’s digital marketing efforts. This senior role combines vision, creativity, and analytical insight to ensure that digital initiatives align with the organization’s broader campaign, engagement, and fundraising goals. Scope of the Role Responsible for the overarching digital marketing strategy, the postholder will manage social media and digital communications to expand audience reach, deepen engagement, and amplify Greenpeace’s regional impact. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to integrate digital strategies across all programs. Key Responsibilities Strategic Development: Design and implement a comprehensive digital marketing strategy with clear objectives and measurable outcomes. Alignment and Integration: Coordinate digital activities across departments to ensure cohesive and mission-aligned initiatives. Campaign Oversight: Provide leadership on all digital advertising campaigns, ensuring they are data-driven, innovative, and impactful. Audience Insights: Develop segmentation and testing methodologies to optimize audience engagement and conversion. Innovation and Research: Explore emerging digital tools and platforms to enhance Greenpeace MENA’s digital presence. Reporting and Evaluation: Oversee analytics and performance reporting to inform continuous improvement. Strategic Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership to integrate digital insights into broader organizational priorities. Qualifications and Experience Graduate or postgraduate degree in communications, marketing, digital media, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years’ experience in digital marketing, including strategic planning and campaign management. Proven record in managing large-scale digital campaigns across multiple platforms. Advanced skills in analytics and digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager). Excellent command of Arabic and English. Organizational Competencies Strong strategic and analytical thinking. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in cross-cultural environments. This pivotal role focuses on engaging the public through innovative digital campaigns that convert interest into sustained financial support, helping to maintain Greenpeace’s independence as a donor-funded organization. Scope of the Role The postholder will design and execute digital fundraising campaigns that leverage storytelling, data-driven marketing, and audience insights. Working across paid, owned, and earned channels, the strategist will ensure every supporter interaction—from discovery to donation—is meaningful, measurable, and mission-aligned. Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning: Develop and implement regional digital fundraising strategies with defined objectives and KPIs. Campaign Management: Lead end-to-end execution of digital campaigns, including email, social media, and online events. Donor Acquisition: Design and optimize lead generation, conversion funnels, and digital journeys to attract new regular donors. Donor Engagement: Segment audiences and personalize donor communication to improve retention and lifetime value. Partnership Development: Build collaborations with influencers, digital platforms, and organizations to extend Greenpeace’s reach. Budget Management: Oversee digital fundraising budgets and maximize return on investment. Compliance: Ensure full adherence to Greenpeace’s ethical standards, confidentiality policies, and donor data protection guidelines. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field; a digital marketing certificate is an advantage. 5–7 years’ experience in digital acquisition, fundraising, or marketing, with measurable results in lead generation or online sales. Deep understanding of the MENA region’s cultural and digital context. Proficiency with Google and Meta advertising platforms, performance analytics, and CRM tools. Excellent communication skills and fluency in Arabic and English; French is a plus. Strong project management, budgeting, and analytical skills.
