Call for Consultants GRiC Africa is inviting experienced consultants and subject matter experts to collaborate on projects designed to strengthen youth development, inclusion, and economic empowerment across the continent. The organization seeks creative, driven, and purpose-oriented professionals who are passionate about supporting young people and building resilient communities. Consultants will work closely with GRiC Africa’s program and leadership teams to design and deliver high-impact training, workshops, and research initiatives aligned with the organization’s mission. Areas of Expertise Sought GRiC Africa welcomes applications from professionals with proven experience in one or more of the following fields: Career Preparedness: Supporting young people in career planning, employability skills, and professional development pathways. Gender and Social Inclusion: Advancing equity and inclusion through gender-responsive approaches, community engagement, and inclusive programming. Financial Literacy: Building young people’s capacity to manage finances, understand entrepreneurship, and make informed economic decisions. Emotional Intelligence: Promoting self-awareness, empathy, and leadership skills for personal and collective growth. Youth and Wellness: Strengthening mental health, resilience, and holistic well-being among youth and community members. Role and Responsibilities Selected consultants will contribute to GRiC Africa’s mission through activities such as: Designing and facilitating training sessions, workshops, and mentorship programs for youth and community groups. Developing context-specific curricula, tools, and resources that support skills development and inclusion. Providing technical expertise, advisory input, and innovative solutions aligned with project goals. Conducting research, needs assessments, or evaluations that inform GRiC Africa’s strategies and impact measurement. Collaborating with GRiC Africa’s team to enhance learning, leadership, and community transformation outcomes. Assignments may vary in duration and scope depending on project needs, with opportunities for short-term, part-time, or project-based engagements. Qualifications and Experience While requirements may differ by thematic area, applicants are generally expected to have: A university degree or equivalent experience in education, social sciences, development studies, psychology, economics, or a related field. Demonstrated expertise in one of the focus areas listed above. Strong facilitation, training, and communication skills. Proven experience working with youth, community-based organizations, or development programs in Africa. Ability to design and deliver engaging, practical, and inclusive learning experiences. Creativity, flexibility, and commitment to GRiC Africa’s mission and values. Experience in consulting, curriculum development, or project design will be considered a strong asset.
