Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is inviting applications for an Analyst – Compliance Solutions position that offers an opportunity to support nonprofit affiliates facing operational, governance and compliance challenges. The full-time role is remote within the United States and focuses on risk assessment, compliance monitoring, corrective action planning and organisational improvement. The successful candidate will work with affiliates that present significant organisational risks, helping leadership teams identify challenges, implement practical solutions and strengthen long-term sustainability. The role combines analytical thinking with relationship management, project coordination and sound professional judgement. About the Analyst – Compliance Solutions Role The Analyst – Compliance Solutions will serve as an adviser to Habitat for Humanity affiliates experiencing operational or governance difficulties. The position involves assessing organisational risks, monitoring compliance with Habitat policies and ministry requirements, and helping affiliates develop measurable corrective action plans. The role also involves reviewing information submitted by affiliates and preparing recommendations for consideration by the Compliance Committee. The successful candidate will monitor organisational risk trends, produce reports for leadership and contribute to the development of systems and tools that improve affiliate oversight. Because the Compliance Solutions team may experience periods of increased workload, the successful candidate will also be cross-trained in other areas of the team to provide additional support when required. Key Responsibilities The Analyst will be responsible for a range of compliance, risk management and organisational development activities, including: Conducting comprehensive risk assessments for at-risk affiliates. Working with affiliate leadership to develop practical corrective action plans. Monitoring compliance with Habitat policies and organisational requirements. Reviewing affiliate submissions and preparing recommendations for the Compliance Committee. Developing measurable improvement plans for affiliates placed on probation. Tracking organisational risk trends and preparing reports for leadership. Designing and improving systems, tools and processes for affiliate oversight. Collaborating with internal teams to address complex organisational challenges. Supporting other compliance functions through cross-training and team collaboration. The position requires an individual who can balance accountability with a constructive and supportive approach when working with organisations facing sensitive challenges. Eligibility Requirements Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates are also expected to have three to five years of experience working with Habitat for Humanity or a similar nonprofit organisation. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, alongside project management and organisational capabilities. The successful candidate should be comfortable managing multiple priorities with limited supervision and analysing complex information to support sound decisions. Experience working collaboratively with stakeholders during sensitive or challenging situations is also important. Preferred Experience and Skills Habitat for Humanity is particularly interested in candidates with experience in areas such as: Nonprofit organisational risk assessments Compliance and governance Conflict resolution or mediation Organisational development Change management Continuous process improvement Performance monitoring and reporting Knowledge of Habitat for Humanity’s mission and affiliate model is highly preferred. Candidates should also demonstrate curiosity, patience, persistence, compassion and sound judgement. The ability to establish productive relationships while maintaining appropriate organisational standards will be important in this position. Location and Work Arrangement The position is remote within the United States, allowing the successful candidate to work remotely while collaborating with Habitat for Humanity International teams and affiliates. The listed location is US Remote – California, and the position is classified as full-time. Employees hired into hybrid arrangements near Habitat offices in Atlanta, Americus, Georgia, or Washington, DC may be required to report to the relevant office on Tuesdays. Salary and Benefits The annual U.S. hiring range for the Analyst – Compliance Solutions position is US$63,900 to US$95,100. The actual salary offered will depend on factors including the candidate’s location, qualifications, professional experience and internal equity. Habitat for Humanity also states that it provides a competitive benefits package. Depending on the country and employment arrangement, benefits may include vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance.
