Hiring: Field Coordinator Organization: Action Against Hunger (ACF) Location: Katsina, Katsina State, Nigeria Department: Logistics / Operations Level: Manager / Supervisor Employment Type: Full-Time Proposed Start Date: October 2026 Role Summary Action Against Hunger is seeking an experienced Field Coordinator to provide strategic leadership and oversee program delivery, field operations, security management, and stakeholder engagement in Katsina State. This role is responsible for managing integrated humanitarian and recovery programs, supporting field teams, and building strong local partnerships. Key Responsibilities Program Leadership & Strategy: Manage integrated humanitarian programs, supervise Programme Managers, ensure project workplans are met, and contribute to funding proposals and donor reports. Team Management & HR: Lead, motivate, and manage field teams, coordinate performance reviews, handle conflict resolution, and work closely with Abuja support teams. Operations & Security: Oversee field-level Finance, HR, and Logistics; monitor security challenges; support emergency preparedness; and enforce donor and ACF compliance. Partnerships & Coordination: Represent ACF in Katsina coordination groups, build relationships with government authorities, and identify, assess, and build capacity for local implementing partners. Quality & Accountability: Ensure proper documentation, capitalization, quality control, and accountability mechanisms across all project activities. Qualifications & Requirements Education: Degree in Social Sciences, International Relations, International Development, Humanitarian Response, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience with international NGOs in insecure/complex contexts. (Prior Action Against Hunger emergency experience is an advantage). Skills: Strong leadership, diplomacy, negotiation, analytical, and crisis-management capabilities. Teamwork: Proven track record managing multicultural teams in high-pressure environments.
