ICW Global is inviting applications for a part-time Communications Coordinator consultancy to support its global communications, digital advocacy, and visibility initiatives. The six-month remote consultancy offers communications professionals an opportunity to contribute to international advocacy on HIV, gender equality, reproductive justice, community leadership, and human rights. The consultancy is scheduled to run from 15 July 2026 to 15 January 2027, with the possibility of renewal depending on funding availability. Applications are open until 10 July 2026 at 23:59 UTC. Supporting Global Advocacy and Community Leadership ICW Global is seeking a creative and organised communications professional who is passionate about storytelling and social justice. Working closely with the organisation’s Global Programmes Director and Global Advocacy Officer, the successful consultant will help strengthen the visibility of global campaigns while amplifying the voices of women living with HIV across regions and movements. The role is designed for individuals who can translate complex advocacy issues into engaging digital content while supporting communications strategies that advance community-led advocacy and meaningful participation. Key Responsibilities The Communications Coordinator will play a central role in planning and delivering communications activities across multiple platforms while supporting high-profile global advocacy campaigns. Primary responsibilities include: Developing engaging content for social media platforms, the organisation’s website, and other digital communication channels. Supporting communications planning and audience engagement initiatives. Updating website content and assisting with digital communications strategy. Coordinating content calendars and scheduling social media posts. Collaborating with advocacy partners to amplify campaign messages. Assisting with website updates and digital storytelling. Editing and proofreading communications materials. Producing basic Canva graphics and editing short videos or social media reels where required. Supporting Global Campaigns and Events The successful consultant will contribute to communications for several major international advocacy initiatives throughout the contract period. Campaign support will include communications for: World AIDS Day International Women’s Day International AIDS Conference 16 Days of Activism Campaign Other global HIV, gender equality, and human rights advocacy initiatives Responsibilities will include planning campaign content, coordinating communications with partners, scheduling digital content, and helping maximise campaign visibility across online platforms. Virtual Event Coordination In addition to communications responsibilities, the consultant will assist with the planning and delivery of virtual events and online engagements. Key tasks include: Coordinating speakers for webinars and virtual meetings. Preparing Zoom meetings and online events. Managing participant registration and communications. Providing basic technical support during webinars and virtual sessions. Supporting smooth delivery of online advocacy events. Required Qualifications ICW Global is looking for an organised, collaborative, and creative communications professional with experience managing digital communications and supporting advocacy initiatives. Essential qualifications include: Excellent written English communication skills. Experience managing social media platforms and creating digital content. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently. Experience coordinating webinars or virtual meetings using Zoom or similar platforms. Canva, basic graphic design, or video editing experience. Excellent attention to detail. Demonstrated commitment to gender equality, human rights, and the leadership of communities most affected by HIV. Additional language skills will be considered an advantage. Desirable Experience Applicants with experience in community-led advocacy and social justice movements are particularly encouraged to apply. Preferred qualifications include: Lived experience as a woman living with HIV or as a member of a key population. Experience working with grassroots or community-led organisations. Familiarity with HIV advocacy, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), feminist movements, or human rights advocacy. Experience updating websites using WordPress. Experience collaborating across multiple countries, cultures, and time zones.
