Eligibility Criteria The programme is open to academically outstanding students from non-IIT institutions who demonstrate strong motivation for research and scholarly achievement. Eligible applicants include: Students pursuing the third year of undergraduate programmes such as: B.E. B.Tech B.Sc Engineering Three-year B.Sc with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics Students enrolled in: Third or fourth year of integrated or dual-degree master’s programmes (M.E., M.Tech, M.Sc) First year of M.Sc, M.A, or MBA programmes Applicants are expected to possess a strong academic record, reflected through high university ranks or consistent academic excellence. Additional merits may include: Research projects or internships Papers presented at seminars or conferences Participation in design contests or technical competitions Rankings or distinctions in Mathematics Olympiads Academic awards or recognitions Students currently enrolled in IITs are not eligible to apply. Financial Support and Facilities The Summer Fellowship Programme offers limited financial and residential support to selected participants. Key provisions include: Stipend: INR 15,000 per month for a maximum duration of two months, prorated if applicable Accommodation: Hostel and mess facilities may be provided on a paid basis, subject to availability Participants are responsible for making their own travel arrangements and covering personal expenses beyond the stipend.
