The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a highly organised and solutions-driven Data & Compliance Supervisor to provide leadership and oversight across data quality, grant compliance, and reporting functions. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, this is a full-time, hybrid role reporting to the Deputy Director of Resettlement Programs and offers an opportunity to contribute directly to high-impact humanitarian work. Role Overview The Data & Compliance Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in ensuring that IRC programmes meet organisational, donor, and regulatory standards. The position blends supervision, compliance management, and data oversight, supporting strong service delivery through accurate data, robust grant management, and continuous quality improvement. The role provides oversight to staff responsible for data and compliance functions, collaborates closely with programme leadership, finance teams, and IRC headquarters, and supports organisational learning and accountability. The position is non-exempt, working 37.5 hours per week. Key Responsibilities Supervision and Team Leadership The Supervisor is responsible for building and supporting a high-performing data and compliance team by: Supervising, onboarding, training, and supporting Data & Compliance staff Setting clear expectations, priorities, and accountability structures Reviewing work products to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to IRC standards Promoting professional development, cross-training, and capacity building Providing regular feedback and performance support Compliance and Grant Management The role ensures strong grant and contract compliance across programmes by: Leading grant opening, mid-cycle, and close-out processes Ensuring adherence to donor contracts, grant conditions, and budgetary requirements Maintaining organised, complete, and audit-ready grant documentation Coordinating grant modifications, including amendments and extensions Providing technical guidance to programme staff on compliance and donor rules Overseeing sub-award and partnership compliance activities Leading corrective action plans following audits or compliance reviews Data Management and Quality Assurance Strong data integrity and reporting are central to this role. Key duties include: Overseeing accurate collection, entry, and maintenance of client and programme data Designing and monitoring quality assurance and quality control processes Supporting programme teams with timely and accurate data entry Analysing data to generate reports on outputs, outcomes, and performance Monitoring programme deliverables and reporting progress to senior leadership Leading preparation for audits, donor monitoring visits, and HQ reviews Financial and Administrative Oversight In collaboration with Finance and programme teams, the Supervisor will: Oversee tracking of direct assistance and client support expenditures Monitor programme-level budgets for allowability, accuracy, and timeliness Support financial reconciliation and reporting processes Review expense summaries and flag trends or risks to leadership Collaboration and Capacity Building The role acts as a key connector across teams and functions by: Aligning service delivery, data, compliance, and reporting requirements Serving as a primary point of contact between field programmes, HQ, finance, and partners Supporting HQ-led initiatives, pilots, and special projects Delivering training and technical assistance on data systems, compliance, and reporting Participating in leadership meetings and cross-departmental collaboration Required Qualifications and Experience Candidates must demonstrate the following: Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, public administration, data management, or a related field Minimum of four years’ experience in compliance, data management, programme evaluation, or grant administration At least one year of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred Proven experience with grant reporting, audits, monitoring, and quality assurance Core Skills and Competencies The successful candidate will bring: Strong leadership and staff supervision skills High attention to detail and ability to manage complex compliance requirements Proficiency in data and reporting tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms Strong analytical, organisational, and time-management skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Capacity to work effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to managing competing priorities A valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle are preferred. Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this position is USD 53,270 – 61,560, depending on experience and location.
