IPPF Is Recruiting Social Media Video Editors – Humanitarian (Remote, Global Pool): Apply by 25 January 2026

Application Deadline

February 13, 2026

Description

The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) is inviting applications from experienced Social Media Video Editors to join a global Humanitarian Video Editor Pool. This opportunity is ideal for creative professionals who are passionate about using visual storytelling to support sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in humanitarian and crisis settings. The role was posted on 14 January 2026 and applications will close on 25 January 2026, with rolling review. Early applications are strongly encouraged. About IPPF The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) is a leading global healthcare provider and advocate of sexual and reproductive health and rights for all. Through its network of Member Associations, IPPF delivers life-saving SRHR services to women, girls, and marginalised communities—particularly in contexts affected by conflict, displacement, natural disasters, and humanitarian emergencies. Communications and storytelling are central to IPPF’s mission. Ethical, compelling visual content plays a critical role in raising awareness, mobilising support, and amplifying the voices of communities affected by crisis. Purpose of the Role To support its humanitarian communications work, IPPF is establishing a pool of talented, experienced ad-hoc video editors. Selected editors will be contracted on a per-project basis to produce short-form, social-first video content that highlights humanitarian responses and human-interest stories from the field. The videos are intended to be emotionally engaging, visually polished, and ethically sound, while remaining fully aligned with IPPF’s values, brand guidelines, and safeguarding standards. Scope of Work Editors in the pool may be commissioned to edit footage provided by IPPF into short, impactful videos ranging from 30 seconds to 3 minutes. Typical responsibilities may include: Storyboarding or light scripting support (copywriting for social films is desirable) Selecting, sequencing, and structuring footage for emotional impact and narrative clarity Adding basic graphics and text overlays, including subtitles, names, and key statistics Sound design, including background music and audio balancing Colour correction and overall visual polish Formatting outputs for multiple platforms (vertical, square, and horizontal formats) Ensuring ethical representation of individuals and communities featured Editors will be expected to work independently while responding to creative briefs and feedback within tight humanitarian timelines. Deliverables Deliverables will vary depending on the assignment but may include: 1–3 minute social media films 60-second vertical reels for platforms such as Instagram and Facebook Short montage or trailer-style videos Final exports in multiple formats (MP4, vertical, square, horizontal) suitable for different digital platforms Each assignment will be accompanied by a clear creative brief from IPPF outlining objectives, messaging, tone, target audience, and technical specifications. Required Skills and Experience IPPF is seeking editors with a strong blend of technical expertise and ethical storytelling skills. Applicants should demonstrate: Proven experience editing social-first, short-form video content for international NGOs, charities, or humanitarian organisations Strong storytelling ability, particularly around sensitive topics such as SRHR, conflict, displacement, and marginalisation Proficiency in professional video editing software (strong preference for Adobe Premiere Pro) Experience producing content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube Familiarity with ethical and dignity-centred humanitarian storytelling Ability to work quickly, independently, and under tight deadlines Knowledge of humanitarian issues, particularly sexual and reproductive health, is a strong advantage Editors must have access to their own editing software and a reliable internet connection. Location and Contract Type Location: International, remote, flexible Contract Type: Ad-hoc, per-project basis (not full-time or retainer) Being selected for the pool does not guarantee ongoing work but indicates preferred vendor status for IPPF humanitarian video projects. Fees Applicants are required to indicate their professional daily rate in USD, excluding VAT. Where applicable, VAT should be listed separately. How to Apply Interested editors should submit the following: A short cover letter (maximum 1 page) outlining: Current location Relevant humanitarian or NGO experience Typical turnaround time for editing a 1-minute social media video with subtitles and basic graphics (materials provided) A portfolio with at least three relevant video examples, preferably humanitarian or NGO-focused (clearly state your role) Expected daily rate and availability CV Applications should be emailed to: Eseaorjobs@ippf.org Subject line: “Application: Humanitarian Video Editor Pool” Application Deadline 25 January 2026 (rolling review) IPPF strongly encourages applications from candidates openly living with HIV and remains committed to equal opportunities, inclusion, and cultural diversity. Candidates from all backgrounds are welcome to apply.
