The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is inviting applications from young people around the world to join the YouthLED Integrity Advisory Board 2026–2028, an initiative under the Global Resource for Anti-Corruption Education and Youth Empowerment (GRACE Initiative). The opportunity is aimed at young people aged 18 to 29 who are passionate about preventing and countering corruption and want to contribute to efforts promoting integrity, ethics, accountability, civic engagement and the rule of law. The YouthLED Integrity Advisory Board provides a platform for young people to work directly with UNODC and contribute their perspectives, experiences and ideas to international anti-corruption initiatives. Board members will act as co-leading partners, helping strengthen youth participation and youth-led action against corruption at local, regional and global levels. About the UNODC YouthLED Integrity Advisory Board The YouthLED Board is founded on the principle of “nothing about us without us.” Rather than viewing young people only as beneficiaries of anti-corruption programmes, the initiative recognizes them as partners, leaders, innovators, knowledge-holders and contributors. Selected members will advise UNODC and the GRACE Initiative team on effective approaches to youth engagement in anti-corruption work. They will also contribute to the development of youth-focused good practices, awareness campaigns, workshops, consultations and other initiatives. The role provides an opportunity for young leaders to gain experience engaging with international policy and development processes while helping shape approaches to integrity, ethics and accountability. Key Responsibilities YouthLED Integrity Advisory Board members may be involved in: Advising UNODC and the GRACE Initiative on meaningful youth engagement in anti-corruption initiatives. Contributing ideas and good practices for youth-focused integrity and anti-corruption programmes. Supporting awareness-raising campaigns and regional initiatives. Participating in youth workshops, consultations and related activities. Promoting anti-corruption action within their communities. Creating opportunities for other young people to participate in anti-corruption efforts. Reviewing documents and contributing to specific deliverables. Supporting youth-focused events and consultations. Engaging with community networks to encourage youth participation in anti-corruption activities. Applicants do not need previous United Nations or UNODC experience. The organization is particularly interested in young people who demonstrate an interest in areas such as integrity, ethics, peace, justice, anti-corruption, the rule of law, civic engagement, community action and youth networks. Eligibility Requirements Applicants must: Be between 18 and 29 years old at the time of application. Be able to communicate effectively in English, as Board activities and communications will be conducted in English. Demonstrate an interest in integrity, ethics, anti-corruption or related areas. Be willing and available to participate in Board activities. Be prepared to dedicate approximately three days per month to Board-related responsibilities. UNODC encourages applications from young people with diverse backgrounds, experiences and perspectives, including individuals from marginalized and underrepresented communities. Geographical diversity is also an important consideration. Applications from countries that have not previously been represented on the YouthLED Integrity Advisory Board will be prioritized. What Selected Board Members Will Receive The YouthLED Integrity Advisory Board offers young people an opportunity to contribute directly to UNODC’s international work on anti-corruption and youth empowerment. Members will have the opportunity to: Contribute to international anti-corruption initiatives. Advise UNODC on youth engagement. Participate in consultations, workshops and youth-focused activities. Share community perspectives and experiences. Help shape approaches to youth-led integrity and anti-corruption action. Work alongside young people and professionals from different countries and regions. Strengthen their experience in international development, civic engagement and policy-related work. The Board is a voluntary position and does not provide financial compensation. Members will serve for a minimum of one year within a two-year mandate. The mandate may be renewed once for an additional period of up to two years, allowing for a maximum total service period of four years. Application Requirements Interested applicants are required to submit: A Curriculum Vitae (CV). A one-page motivation letter, or a maximum of 500 words excluding spaces. A short video of up to 90 seconds. The application form also asks candidates to provide information about their motivation, community engagement, networks, familiarity with anti-corruption issues and the GRACE Initiative, as well as any previous UN or UNODC experience. Selection Process and Timeline Applications will be assessed based on several factors, including motivation, availability, diversity, geographical representation, community reach, relevant experience or interest, and the applicant’s potential to contribute meaningfully to youth-led anti-corruption efforts.
