YEIDEP (Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalisation Programme) is an ongoing Federal Government initiative under the Ministry of Youth Development. It aims to tackle youth unemployment, poverty, and insecurity through grants (typically ₦50,000 to ₦500,000) to support entrepreneurship, especially in agriculture and allied sectors. YEIDEP program is progressing into the selection and disbursement statement. Very soon, applicants will be able to know their status regarding the program. N-Power (the youth employment program) has been largely inactive or under review/reform in recent years. There is no strong evidence of widespread resumption of the program in terms of new recruitment. However, there are news that the outstanding stipend payments owed to Beneficiaries will be paid soon. Ensure you stay updated regarding this programme on the official Ministry of humanitarian affairs or NSIPA communication platforms, but temper expectations—newer programs appear to be the priority. What is the latest on RHEI (Renewed Hope Employment Initiative)? RHEI Phase 3 is active. The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) is rolling out this Tinubu administration initiative to provide skills training, employment opportunities, and empowerment for unemployed Nigerians, including graduates and unskilled youth. The RHEI is one of the more active programs right now with phased rollouts across states. GEEP FarmerMoni still running? How can farmers apply in 2026? The GEEP (Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme) FarmerMoni is active. However, registration is closed for new applicants and disbursements process for smallholder farmers is in progress. GEEP offers interest-free loans up to ₦300,000 for farming inputs and activities (Dry/Wet Season support). YEIDEP – Best for youth-focused grants/entrepreneurship (especially agro-allied). FarmerMoni (GEEP) – Targeted loans for active smallholder farmers. RHEI – Skills training and broader employment support.
