The Lecturer II, Mortuary Science post is a re-advertisement, so it was advertised before. The job grades also run from KMTC 4 (the most senior, Assistant Director ICT) to KMTC 13, so there were openings for degree holders, diploma and certificate holders, and support staff. How Applications Were Made KMTC accepted applications online only, through its recruitment portal: http://recruit.kmtc.ac.ke/jobs. The full job summaries and requirements were published on www.kmtc.ac.ke. Enquiries went to recruitment@kmtc.ac.ke. The advert stated plainly that no hard copy applications would be accepted. Chapter Six Documents Successful candidates must provide the following before the offer letter is issued, in line with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010: Clearance certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) Clearance from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) Clearance from a Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) A valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) If you plan to apply for public sector jobs, get these ready now. Some can take days or weeks to process, and having them in hand puts you ahead of other candidates. Important Conditions in the Advert KMTC listed several rules that candidates should take seriously: Give accurate information. The advert says including incorrect information in an application is an offence. Only include certificates you already hold. Academic and professional qualifications not obtained by the closing date should not be included. Bring originals to interviews. Shortlisted candidates must produce their original National ID, academic and professional certificates, and transcripts. Fake documents are a crime. Presenting forged certificates is a criminal offence. No canvassing. Any form of canvassing leads to automatic disqualification. Equal Opportunity Employer KMTC says it is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to Affirmative Action. Youth, women, persons with disability and minorities with the requisite qualifications were encouraged to apply. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. What to Do If You Missed the Deadline Missing this round doesn’t have to mean missing out. Here is how to be ready next time: Follow KMTC’s website and recruitment portal for new adverts and re-advertisements. The Mortuary Science post shows that unfilled positions often come back. Keep your CV updated and tailored to the type of role you want. Organise your academic and professional documents in one folder, with originals and copies ready. Apply for your Chapter Six clearances early so you are not rushing if you are shortlisted. Watch other State Corporations and public institutions, which often advertise similar roles. Final Word With 89 vacancies in one advert, this was one of the larger recruitment drives in the health training sector. Even though applications have closed, it shows the kind of roles KMTC hires for and the standards it expects. Prepare your documents now, so you can apply as soon as the next advert goes out.
