The Dobson Centre’s mission is to find, train, and develop entrepreneurs who build innovative companies with purpose. It’s recognized as one of the world’s leading university-based accelerators, and this role sits right at the center of that work reporting directly to the Associate Director of the Centre. What Will the Program Officer Actually Do? The Program Officer plays a key role in designing, delivering, and continuously improving high-impact entrepreneurship programming, supporting founders through experiential learning, mentorship, and ecosystem engagement. Core responsibilities include: Designing and delivering experiential entrepreneurship programming workshops, founder training, pitch events, and venture-building activities Integrating emerging technology trends and principles of sustainability and responsible innovation into programming Supporting founders in navigating technology commercialization and early-stage venture development Tracking program outcomes and impact metrics to drive continuous improvement Managing program operations, communications, and digital engagement tools Building relationships with mentors, alumni, investors, and industry partners Representing the Centre at entrepreneurship and innovation events, locally and internationally The role spans work across emerging technology areas including AI, health, climate, sustainability, and digital innovation meaning the day-to-day work touches some of the most active areas of startup activity today. Who Should Apply? An undergraduate degree is required A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in entrepreneurship, innovation, technology, or program management ideally within an incubator, accelerator, university, or startup ecosystem Experience designing and facilitating educational or professional development programs is an asset Knowledge of Lean Startup methodology, design thinking, and early-stage venture development Fluency in English and French is required Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently What Does McGill Offer?
