Memories.ai Opens Applications for the 2026 Fall Research Fellowship in Visual AI (Remote-Friendly with $1,000 Monthly Stipend)
globalsouthopportunities.com

Application Deadline

September 4, 2026

Description

Memories.ai has officially opened applications for its 2026 Fall Research Fellowship, inviting talented Master’s students and early-career researchers worldwide to contribute to cutting-edge research in visual artificial intelligence. The 12-week fellowship offers participants an opportunity to collaborate with leading AI researchers on groundbreaking projects focused on video intelligence, multimodal AI, and large-scale memory systems. The fellowship is designed for ambitious researchers seeking hands-on experience in solving real-world AI challenges while working alongside experts from one of Silicon Valley’s emerging innovators in visual intelligence. About the Memories.ai Research Fellowship Memories.ai is a Silicon Valley-based artificial intelligence company developing the world’s first Large Visual Memory Model (LVMM), an AI system designed to process, understand, and retain visual information over extended periods. Unlike conventional AI models that primarily focus on language, Memories.ai is pioneering technology that enables machines to build long-term visual memory from video data. The 2026 Fall Research Fellowship provides participants with direct exposure to frontier AI research through a structured 12-week programme running from September to November 2026. Fellows will become integrated members of the Memories.ai research team, contributing to active research projects rather than observational or support roles. Only 5–8 fellows will be selected for this highly competitive cohort. Research Areas Selected fellows will work on innovative research topics including: Egocentric video understanding and first-person vision Large Visual Memory Models (LVMM) Real-time video intelligence and streaming AI Multimodal memory systems Large-scale video data infrastructure Cross-modal retrieval and reasoning AI for video understanding Memory architectures for artificial intelligence These research areas are intended to advance AI systems capable of understanding, remembering, and reasoning over massive volumes of visual information. Fellowship Benefits Participants will receive extensive technical and professional support throughout the programme, including: Monthly fellowship stipend of USD 1,000 Access to state-of-the-art GPU computing infrastructure Opportunity to work with proprietary large-scale video datasets Weekly one-on-one mentorship from senior AI researchers Guidance from former Meta Research scientists Access to industry experts and academic collaborators Publication support for leading AI conferences including: ICLR NeurIPS CVPR Visa sponsorship and immigration support for eligible international participants Flexible remote participation with optional in-person collaboration Certificate and presentation opportunities at the end of the fellowship Eligibility Criteria Applicants should meet most of the following requirements: Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a closely related discipline, or Recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field Experience using deep learning frameworks such as: PyTorch JAX Similar machine learning frameworks Research experience demonstrated through publications or ongoing research projects Strong interest in: Computer Vision Video Understanding Multimodal AI Large-scale Data Systems Ability to work independently on challenging research problems Passion for advancing the state of artificial intelligence The organisers note that applicants are evaluated based on intellectual curiosity, research ability, and a strong builder mindset rather than institutional prestige. Fellows will collaborate directly with experienced researchers developing next-generation visual intelligence systems while strengthening their research portfolios. Participants will also gain valuable experience in: Advanced AI model development Large-scale video processing Research publication preparation Scientific collaboration High-performance computing Applied machine learning Multimodal reasoning systems Why This Fellowship Matters As artificial intelligence increasingly expands beyond text-based applications, visual intelligence has become one of the fastest-growing research frontiers. The ability for AI systems to remember, interpret, and reason across long video sequences has applications in robotics, healthcare, autonomous systems, augmented reality, surveillance, education, and scientific research. The Memories.ai Research Fellowship offers emerging researchers an opportunity to contribute to technologies that could shape the future of AI while receiving mentorship from experienced professionals in the field. Researchers interested in computer vision, multimodal learning, and next-generation AI architectures are encouraged to apply for this competitive fellowship. Applications for the Memories.ai 2026 Fall Research Fellowship are currently open.
