Mercy Corps is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Global Programs to support a major global rebrand initiative. This full-time, fixed-term role will play a key part in coordinating the rollout of a new organizational brand identity across regional and country teams worldwide. The position is remote within the United States or based in Mercy Corps offices such as Portland, Oregon or Washington, D.C.. The contract is expected to last approximately 18 months, aligned with the timeline of the global rebranding project. The role requires a strategic project manager capable of coordinating multiple stakeholders across regions while ensuring the successful implementation of the new brand identity. Department Overview The Philanthropic Growth & Engagement (PG&E) Department plays a central role in advancing Mercy Corps’ mission by strengthening fundraising and engagement efforts. The department focuses on: Expanding fundraising from individuals, foundations, and corporations Growing flexible and unrestricted funding streams Strengthening Mercy Corps’ global reputation and visibility Developing compelling storytelling and communications strategies The team includes specialists in: Marketing and communications Fundraising and development operations Digital platforms and donor engagement Together, they work to build long-term relationships with supporters while communicating the organization’s global impact. Global Rebrand Initiative Mercy Corps has launched a global rebranding initiative designed to strengthen its external identity and global visibility. While the organization’s mission remains anchored in its long-term Pathway to Possibility strategy, the rebrand will refine how Mercy Corps communicates its impact and differentiates itself globally. The rebrand rollout will begin in 2026 and will involve: Updating brand identity and messaging Introducing new visual and communication standards Transitioning global offices to the new brand framework Ensuring consistent adoption across regions and countries Country and regional teams will develop localized rollout plans that align with global standards while adapting to local regulatory, cultural, and operational contexts. Role Overview The Senior Project Manager will support the global rollout of the new brand identity by coordinating activities across regional and country teams. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Rebrand, the role will work closely with the Rebrand Project Management Office (PMO) and operational leadership to ensure the successful implementation of the initiative. Key responsibilities include: Supporting planning and execution of regional rebrand rollout strategies Ensuring alignment with global branding standards Coordinating communication across multiple teams and regions Managing timelines, deliverables, and project milestones Facilitating training and capacity-building related to brand adoption The role requires strong collaboration with internal teams and external partners to ensure the transition is both globally consistent and locally relevant. Key Responsibilities Strategy and Planning Collaborate with regional and country teams to develop localized rollout plans Align regional implementation with global rebrand strategy Identify training needs related to brand guidelines Coordinate training sessions and learning resources for country teams Project Management Serve as the primary liaison between country teams and the Rebrand PMO Track project milestones, deliverables, and timelines across regions Monitor project risks and escalate issues when necessary Maintain project documentation using management tools such as Wrike Stakeholder Engagement and Change Management Build strong relationships with regional and country leadership Facilitate coordination meetings and working groups Communicate progress updates to leadership and project teams Support change management efforts during the transition Additional Responsibilities Contribute to project evaluations and lessons learned Integrate safeguarding principles into project activities Promote Mercy Corps values across teams and partners Qualifications and Skills Candidates should demonstrate strong project management expertise and experience working in complex global environments. Minimum qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field At least five years of project management experience Project management certification preferred Experience managing multi-stakeholder global projects Strong organizational and communication skills Familiarity with project management platforms such as Wrike Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools Preferred experience includes working in international development or nonprofit organizations. Success Factors The ideal candidate will be a strategic and highly organized project manager capable of working in a dynamic global environment. Compensation and Contract Details Key employment details include: Employment Type: Full-time, exempt Contract Duration: Approximately 18 months Location: Remote within the United States or Mercy Corps offices Salary Range: USD $76,800 – $90,000 annually (depending on experience) Application Deadline: March 23, 2026 The position may require occasional international travel to support country teams during the rebrand implementation.
