Eligibility Criteria To qualify for the National Youth Service Incubator Programme, applicants must meet the following requirements: The organization must be youth-led, with leaders aged 18 to 35 years. The organization must be based in South Africa. The organization must actively implement youth or community development programmes. The organization must be registered and operational. The organization must not be older than three years, meaning it must have been registered between 2024 and 2026. The programme specifically targets emerging organizations that require structured support to strengthen their foundations. Exclusions Certain organizations and applicants will not be eligible for the programme. These include: Organizations previously funded by the programme Organizations that have previously participated in the incubator Organizations operating for more than three years Organizations that are not 100% youth-owned Profit-making businesses Politically affiliated groups Organizations with reputational, fraud, non-performance, or disclosure risks Individuals currently employed full-time in the public service These conditions ensure that opportunities are directed toward emerging youth-led organizations that require developmental support. Required Application Documents Applicants must submit a complete application package containing the following documents: NPO Registration Certificate SARS Tax Compliance Status Pin or Good Standing Certificate Proof of Bank Account in the name of the NPO (not an individual) Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) Report Two or more testimonial letters Organisational Profile (not a funding proposal) Directors’ CVs and certified ID copies not older than six months Proof of Project Site Address, such as: Lease agreement Municipal documentation Letter signed by a local councillor or tribal authority Incomplete applications may not be considered. Organisation Profile Requirements Applicants must submit a detailed organisational profile that includes: Leadership demographics and governance structure Province, district, municipality, and town where the organization operates Programmes supporting women empowerment and people living with disabilities Number of volunteers involved in programme implementation Number of beneficiaries supported through the organization’s activities Achievements and milestones since establishment Details of grants, donations, or funding received, including how the funds were utilized Existing monitoring systems used to track programme performance and effectiveness This information helps the selection committee assess the organization’s impact and readiness for the incubator programme.
