Application Deadline

March 10, 2026

Description

The Nigerian Government has launched the Dream Centre, a mentorship and skills development hub aimed at empowering young people with the guidance, values, and digital tools needed for purposeful living and leadership. The centre, located within the Obafemi Awolowo University campus in Ile-Ife, Osun State, was established to address the growing gap in mentorship and positive role modelling among youths, while providing access to skills development and technology-driven learning. Equipped with books, digital media resources powered by artificial intelligence, and interactive learning tools, the Dream Centre is designed to support personal growth, innovation, and responsible leadership among young Nigerians. The facility will serve as a safe space where youths can learn, explore their talents, and receive guidance to help them navigate life choices and career paths. At the launch, government representatives noted that the initiative focuses on nurturing core values such as discipline, integrity, hard work, and focus, while also equipping participants with practical skills that are relevant in today’s digital economy. The centre is expected to provide mentorship programmes, leadership grooming, and skills-based training for both young women and men. The initiative also leverages technology and storytelling to preserve national values and inspire future generations. Through the use of digital tools and artificial intelligence, the centre aims to document impactful life stories and experiences that can guide young people in making informed decisions and building sustainable futures. MSME platform Officials described the Dream Centre as part of broader efforts to invest in youth development, human capital growth, and inclusive empowerment. They urged students and young people to take advantage of the opportunity to build their skills, develop confidence, and pursue their individual dreams responsibly. The Nigerian Government said the Dream Centre would contribute to youth empowerment, leadership development, and long-term socio-economic growth, with plans to encourage similar initiatives that combine mentorship, technology, and values-based education across the country.
