Role Overview As an International Policy Analyst, the successful candidate will support the execution of complex, cross-functional strategies that advance Anthropic’s priorities globally. The role involves assessing emerging policy opportunities, engaging external stakeholders, and navigating regulatory landscapes in key international markets. Key responsibilities include: Strategy Development: Contribute to Anthropic’s international policy objectives by creating implementation plans and metrics. Market Entry Support: Assist projects ensuring smooth regulatory entry into new markets. Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and develop relationships with policymakers, think tanks, NGOs, and other influential actors in overseas markets. Policy Translation: Collaborate with technical and policy teams to convert Anthropic research into actionable policy proposals, educational materials, and thought leadership opportunities. Public Advocacy: Draft public submissions, responses to requests for information (RFI), and policy memos to influence AI policy and regulation positively. Candidate Profile Required Qualifications Proven experience supporting technology and AI policy advocacy, ideally across APAC, LATAM, and/or EMEA. Strong research, analysis, and writing skills, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into accessible content. Experience engaging governments, regulators, and civil society organizations on policy issues. Ability to identify and convene stakeholders at regional and global levels. Capacity to work effectively in fast-paced, cross-functional, and international teams. Motivation to inform policymakers about AI developments and help shape effective policies. Preferred Qualifications Experience engaging government regulatory authorities in major international markets. Track record of quickly understanding complex technical domains and policy landscapes. Background in entrepreneurship or networking, capable of creatively building relationships with new stakeholders. Strong curiosity for frontier technology and willingness to work closely with technical teams. Logistics and Benefits Location: San Francisco headquarters, hybrid work model (minimum 25% office presence, some roles may require more). Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience. Visa Sponsorship: Anthropic sponsors visas where possible and provides immigration support.
