This session provided an overview of: Programme objectives Eligibility requirements Application procedures Applicants are encouraged to review the session materials to better understand expectations and improve submission quality. Step 2: Eligibility Evaluation Organizations must first complete an online eligibility assessment starting April 15, 2026. Key points: The evaluation is a preliminary screening tool Only organizations that meet the criteria will proceed to the LOI stage The portal closes once 150 submissions are reached or by April 29, 2026 Step 3: Letter of Inquiry (LOI) Eligible applicants will be invited to submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) in a concise question-and-answer format. The LOI should include: Organizational background Description of the proposed project Intended use of requested funds All submissions are assessed based on alignment with the foundation’s: Geographic priorities Programme focus areas Organizations will be notified of their status on or before May 7, 2026. Step 4: Full Proposal Submission Organizations selected from the LOI stage will gain access to the full application portal. Portal opens: May 8, 2026 Deadline: June 1, 2026 The full proposal requires comprehensive details, including: Programme design and implementation strategy Expected outcomes and impact Organizational capacity and experience Financial plans and supporting documentation Step 5: Review and Award Decision Submitted applications undergo a rigorous review process: Evaluation by the Grants Committee Final approval by the Board of Directors Only the most competitive and impactful proposals will be selected for funding. Grant Terms and Reporting Requirements Successful applicants must adhere to a structured reporting framework: Mid-term report: Due June 2027 Final report: Due January 31, 2028 Grant completion: December 31, 2027 These reports ensure accountability, track progress, and measure programme impact.
