As part of its current expansion, DOT is inviting applications for two significant opportunities: the Toward Scaling Project Officer and the Global Youth Leadership Advisory Board (GYLAB) membership. Each role contributes uniquely to DOT’s mission—one by strengthening the operational and developmental capacity of innovation partners, and the other by elevating youth voices in global strategy and decision-making. Toward Scaling Project Officer Location: AfricaLanguage Requirement: Fluency in English DOT is seeking a highly professional and motivated individual to join its team as the Toward Scaling Project Officer. This role is central to supporting and overseeing a diverse cohort of community-based organisations across Africa as they work to scale their innovative development projects. The Project Officer will work in close coordination with the Senior Project Manager and DOT’s technical teams to ensure that implementation by Innovation Scale Partners is aligned with approved work plans, budgets, and expected milestones. The position plays a strategic and operational role by ensuring that partners not only meet project objectives but also strengthen their organisational capabilities. This includes offering ongoing guidance, facilitating capacity-building activities, ensuring accurate reporting, and fostering a learning environment where innovation can flourish. The Project Officer will be instrumental in ensuring that the scaling journey for each partner is supported, documented, and aligned with DOT’s broader impact objectives. Key Responsibilities Support and oversee implementation by Innovation Scale Partners across Africa. Ensure alignment of project activities with approved plans, budgets, and timelines. Collaborate closely with the Senior Project Manager and technical teams to maintain high implementation standards. Provide ongoing support and capacity-building guidance to partner organisations. Monitor partner activities for consistent reporting, evaluation, and learning. Facilitate documentation of progress, challenges, and innovation-driven outcomes. Promote an enabling environment for innovation exploration and sustainable growth. Eligibility and Key Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., development studies, project management, social sciences, business administration, public policy, or related disciplines). Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in project coordination, programme implementation, or partnership management, preferably within the development sector. Experience working with community-based organisations or grassroots partners is highly desirable. Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate reporting. Experience in partner capacity building, coaching, or technical support. Fluency in written and spoken English; proficiency in other regional languages is an asset. Ability to work independently while contributing to a multicultural, geographically distributed team. Global Youth Leadership Advisory Board (GYLAB) Member Location: Tanzania, Rwanda, Malawi, Zambia, Côte d’Ivoire, Jordan, and Lebanon Digital Opportunity Trust is inviting seven dynamic young leaders to join its Global Youth Leadership Advisory Board (GYLAB). This youth-led advisory platform plays a critical governance and strategy role by offering insights, guidance, and youth-driven perspectives that shape DOT’s programmes across Africa and the Middle East. GYLAB members help co-design initiatives for increased community impact, strengthen DOT’s global learning, and ensure that the voices and priorities of young people remain central to organisational decision-making. Through this opportunity, selected individuals gain valuable experience in board governance, cross-cultural collaboration, strategic analysis, and leadership within an international development context. This role not only contributes to meaningful change across DOT’s network but also offers participants a unique platform for personal and professional growth. Members will engage directly with DOT’s leadership team, support global dialogue on innovation and youth development, and act as ambassadors within their respective communities. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic advice and youth-focused insights to DOT’s global leadership. Participate in collaborative design processes to enhance programme impact. Amplify youth voices and represent community perspectives across DOT’s initiatives. Engage in problem analysis, research, and discussion around emerging development challenges. Support outreach, advocacy, and communication efforts linked to DOT’s mission. Participate in regular virtual meetings, training sessions, and strategic discussions. Eligibility and Key Requirements Must be a resident or national of Tanzania, Rwanda, Malawi, Zambia, Côte d’Ivoire, Jordan, or Lebanon. Aged between 18 and 30 years, with demonstrated leadership potential. Passion for youth empowerment, community development, innovation, or digital inclusion. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to engage in cross-cultural dialogue. Previous involvement in youth initiatives, community projects, or advocacy efforts is an asset. Ability to commit time for meetings, training, and ongoing advisory activities. Commitment to professional conduct, confidentiality, and shared learning. Why Join DOT?
