Strategic Lead – Program Support, Integration, and Accountability Location Nairobi, or any Oxfam-approved duty station. Application Deadline 12 December 2025 Role Purpose The Strategic Lead is responsible for ensuring that operational support provided by the Care and Core Operations Hub is fully integrated into the everyday realities of Oxfam’s country offices, regional teams, and global program networks.The role acts as a central coordinator, aligning systems, processes, and support structures across Executing Affiliates (EAs), Regional Business Managers (RBMs), and the Global Humanitarian Team (GHT). Core Responsibilities Operational Integration Embed core operational support into routine country and regional program activities. Harmonize processes across Executing Affiliates, regional structures, and institutional support teams. Strategic Alignment Strengthen cohesion among the Care and Core Operations Hub, RBMs, GHT networks, and Global Program Management Teams (GPMT). Facilitate shared understanding of operational frameworks, priorities, and accountability mechanisms. Risk Anticipation and Management Support Regions and Country Offices in identifying, forecasting, and managing operational risks. Ensure that strategic mitigation measures are aligned with Oxfam’s global standards. Strategic Communications and External Engagement Advisor to the Oxfam International Executive Director Location Nairobi, or another country where Oxfam can establish an employment contract. Application Deadline 9 December 2025 Role Purpose This senior advisory role provides high-level strategic communications and external engagement support directly to the Executive Director (ED) of Oxfam International.The advisor enhances Oxfam’s global visibility, strengthens external relationships, and ensures that the Executive Director’s voice and priorities are communicated effectively across international audiences. Core Responsibilities Strategic Communication Leadership Develop and oversee communication strategies that amplify the Executive Director’s priorities. Craft high-impact messaging for global advocacy, public statements, and key organizational announcements. External Engagement Plan, advise on, and coordinate the Executive Director’s engagements with governments, institutions, media, and global civil-society platforms. Strengthen Oxfam’s presence in regional and international policy discussions. Reputation and Narrative Management Ensure consistent, compelling narratives that reflect Oxfam’s mission, values, and strategic direction. Monitor global trends and recommend communication approaches that position Oxfam as a leader in humanitarian and development discourse. Internal Coordination Liaise with internal communications, advocacy, and policy teams to maintain coherent messaging across the organization. Support the ED with briefing materials, speaking notes, and communication products. Key Outcomes Increased visibility and influence of Oxfam International’s leadership.
