Plan International: Information Technology Officer Organization: Plan International Nigeria Position: Information Technology Officer Location: Yola, Adamawa State (supporting Yobe field locations) Employment Type: Full-Time Application Deadline: September 29, 2026 About the Role Plan International Nigeria is seeking an experienced Information Technology Officer to manage and support its ICT infrastructure across the Yola office, Yobe field locations, and program teams. The IT Officer will deliver both onsite and remote user support, ensure stable connectivity, enforce cybersecurity controls, and oversee hardware/software assets in a humanitarian field office environment. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure & Connectivity Management: Administer LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPNs, routers, switches, and firewalls (specifically Cisco Meraki infrastructure). Manage connectivity solutions including fiber, VSAT, Starlink, and wireless networks. Systems Administration: Support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD, Active Directory, and user account onboarding/offboarding. Hardware & IT Support: Deploy, encrypt, patch, and maintain laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals. Respond to incident tickets and troubleshoot OS, hardware, and network issues. Power & Security Systems: Maintain CCTV/IP surveillance networks and support ICT power resilience infrastructure (UPS, solar systems, inverters, and battery banks). Cybersecurity & Data Protection: Enforce MFA, endpoint protection (antivirus/EDR), vulnerability remediation, and organizational data security policies. Asset & Vendor Management: Track ICT asset inventories, monitor equipment warranties and software licenses, and interface with ICT service providers and vendors. Eligibility & Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field. NYSC: Must have completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program. Experience: Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, network administration, and system support. Networking Expertise: Practical experience managing Cisco Meraki network environments (Dashboard, VLANs, firewall rules, and VPN setup). Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows OS, DNS, DHCP, MFA, and connectivity tools (Starlink, VSAT, Fiber). Sector Experience: Prior experience in an NGO, INGO, or humanitarian field-based environment is strongly advantageous.
