The Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding (CCCPA) is inviting applications for the position of Program Associate on Peacekeeping and Peace Operations (PK & POs). About CCCPA The Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding (CCCPA) is an independent and non-partisan institution dedicated to strengthening international and regional efforts in peacebuilding and conflict prevention. Based in Cairo, Egypt, the center focuses on: Conflict prevention and resolution Crisis management Peacekeeping and peacebuilding Addressing transnational threats Preventing radicalization and extremism Through research, training, and policy dialogue, CCCPA works with governments, international organizations, and regional partners to promote sustainable peace. Role Overview The Program Associate on Peacekeeping and Peace Operations will support the Peacekeeping team by contributing to research, policy development, and capacity-building activities. The role involves assisting with evidence-based initiatives, supporting program implementation, and helping develop training materials related to peacekeeping and peace operations. Key Responsibilities The Program Associate will perform a range of duties supporting CCCPA’s programs and initiatives, including: Providing strategic and substantive support to the peacekeeping team Monitoring and reporting on developments related to peacekeeping and peace operations Preparing policy papers, reports, and other written materials Conducting research to support program implementation and development Participating in conferences, workshops, and external meetings Supporting the delivery of activities outlined in the Annual Work Plan (AWP) Developing training curricula, presentations, infographics, and other learning materials Coordinating with national authorities, partners, and implementing organizations Supporting monitoring and evaluation activities, including training assessments Assisting with quarterly and final project reports The role also includes maintaining engagement with international networks such as the International Association of Peacekeeping Training Centres (IAPTC). Required Qualifications Education Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in one of the following fields: Political Science International Relations Development Studies Economics Law Or a related discipline Candidates with significant relevant experience may also be considered in place of formal academic qualifications. Work Experience Applicants should have 3–5 years of professional experience, preferably in: Peace and security research International organizations Government institutions Academic or training institutions Previous publications, research papers, or policy analysis work will be considered a strong advantage. Knowledge and Expertise Candidates should demonstrate familiarity with key frameworks related to: **United Nations Peacekeeping and Peace Support Operations Peacebuilding and conflict prevention Compliance and accountability mechanisms Preventing Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) in peace operations Experience applying these frameworks in policy or programming contexts is highly desirable. Language Requirements Applicants must demonstrate: Fluency in Arabic and English Knowledge of French is considered an advantage Selection Process The recruitment process will involve several stages: Initial evaluation of applications Substantive assessment for qualified candidates Competency-based interview with CCCPA management Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted during the selection process.
