Position Overview Razom Health is seeking an accomplished Communications Manager to lead the strategic direction and implementation of the program’s communications efforts. The successful candidate will shape Razom Health’s voice across the United States, Ukraine, and the global health community, advancing the organization’s visibility and impact. Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Communications Manager will oversee the design, execution, and evaluation of an integrated communications strategy that enhances stakeholder engagement, elevates public awareness, and drives participation in key initiatives. This role requires a communications professional who excels at storytelling, media relations, and digital engagement, and who thrives in dynamic, mission-driven environments. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies across digital platforms, media, and public engagement channels. Produce and oversee high-quality written, visual, and multimedia content that effectively informs, inspires, and mobilizes audiences. Collaborate with program teams and partners in Ukraine to source authentic stories, data, and visuals that reflect real impact and community needs. Lead media and press relations, including interviews, press releases, and key messaging development. Build and maintain strategic relationships with journalists, advocacy networks, and partner organizations to increase visibility. Manage communications calendars, campaigns, and brand alignment across all materials. Analyze communication performance metrics to optimize engagement and refine strategies. Provide strategic communications guidance to leadership, internal teams, and external partners. Support rapid-response and crisis communications during urgent health events or humanitarian crises. Facilitate storytelling and media training for spokespeople, field staff, and local partners. Maintain and organize Razom Health’s content library, ensuring accessibility, proper archiving, and cross-team use. Required Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Health, Journalism, International Development, or a related field. A minimum of five years’ experience in nonprofit, public health, or advocacy communications. Proven expertise in writing, editing, storytelling, and translating complex or technical information for general audiences. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Fluency in English (spoken and written). Preferred Qualifications and Experience Master’s degree in Communications, Public Health, Public Policy, or a related discipline. Fluency in Ukrainian. Experience working in humanitarian, global health, or emergency response contexts. Familiarity with Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) integration in communications. Skilled in grants management, donor reporting, and compliance with visibility standards. Proficiency in data-driven storytelling and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Data Studio, Power BI). Advanced digital and visual production skills, including Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop. Experience representing organizations in external media interviews and public events. Ability to capture and edit photo and video content for communication purposes. Knowledge of knowledge management systems for content organization and accessibility. Experience in planning and executing events from concept to implementation.
