About the Grants Finance Lead Role The Grants Finance Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity, compliance, and sustainability of Regenerosity’s funding operations. As the organization enters a phase of significant growth, this position is central to building strong financial systems that support scaling programs. The role reports directly to the Regenerosity 360 Lead and works closely with finance, legal, and program teams. Key Responsibilities The position covers three main areas: grant management, regranting oversight, and budget strategy. 1. Grant Management The consultant will: Review grant agreements and ensure compliance with donor requirements Track budgets, reporting timelines, and funding restrictions Prepare financial reports for donors and ensure timely submissions Monitor income, expenditures, and financial variances Maintain grant records in internal systems (including Grantseeker) Coordinate grant close-out processes, including final reporting 2. Regranting and Partner Support The role includes supporting Regenerosity’s work with grassroots partners by: Reviewing grantee budgets and conducting financial due diligence Ensuring compliance with donor and organizational policies Supporting timely fund disbursement and grant modifications Providing financial guidance and capacity-building to grantees Maintaining audit-ready records of sub-grants in systems such as QuickBooks Online 3. Budgeting and Financial Strategy The Grants Finance Lead will also contribute to organizational financial planning by: Supporting multi-year budget development and monitoring Tracking funding gaps and planned expenditures Coordinating with leadership on donor budget proposals Managing co-funding allocations across multiple donors Ensuring accurate financial reporting across programs and regions Required Qualification Candidates are expected to bring strong technical expertise in nonprofit financial management. Core Requirements At least 5 years of experience in grants finance, donor reporting, or nonprofit financial management Experience working in the NGO or nonprofit sector Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel Experience managing multiple donor funding streams and deadlines Ability to interpret donor agreements and financial policies Strong attention to detail and audit-ready documentation practices Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Experience Additional advantages include: Experience with international or cross-border funding Familiarity with trust-based philanthropy models Knowledge of institutional donor compliance systems Experience supporting audits or financial reviews Understanding of restricted funds and donor-specific accounting rules Work Arrangement and Compensation This is a highly flexible, remote position designed for professionals seeking part-time engagement.
