The social enterprise Seefar is seeking an Online Course Content Developer to support the development of digital learning modules for the R2R – Zindagi Taza Project. This short-term consultancy will run for two months beginning 1 April 2026, with a budget range of EUR 5,000–6,000, depending on experience. The position is fully remote and focuses on transforming existing training materials into interactive online and hybrid learning modules hosted on the Seefar Academy e-learning platform. About Seefar Seefar is a global social enterprise dedicated to supporting vulnerable populations in building sustainable futures. Project Context The Online Course Content Developer will contribute to the Afghanistan Livelihood Hub, a reintegration program designed to assist Afghan nationals returning from European countries. These returnees often face multiple challenges, including: Limited local networks after extended periods abroad Financial debt accumulated during migration Social stigma upon returning home Psychological stress and trauma Difficulty accessing employment opportunities To address these challenges, the program provides free structured training in Kabul over a 48-day curriculum. The consultancy will convert this in-person program into self-paced online modules and hybrid learning formats that can reach participants who cannot attend physical sessions. Livelihood Hub Curriculum The course consists of five core modules that follow a structured pedagogical progression. The learning pathway begins with psychosocial stabilization before introducing practical livelihood and employment skills. 1. Confidence in Action (Psychosocial Support – Part 1)This introductory module focuses on rebuilding self-confidence and motivation through the “confidence-action cycle.” Participants explore personal habits, goal-setting, and behavioural change strategies through reflective exercises. 2. Adaptive Counselling (Psychosocial Support – Part 2)This module introduces accessible mental health literacy concepts, including: Understanding emotional distress versus mental illness Addressing mental health stigma Emotional awareness and regulation Self-esteem development Trauma awareness and cognitive reframing The material relies heavily on narrative case studies and guided reflection. 3. IT and Computer SkillsA digital literacy course designed for participants with limited computer experience. Key topics include: Computer hardware and operating systems Internet navigation and email usage Productivity tools such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Digital safety and responsible internet use 4. EntrepreneurshipA practical business development module covering: Entrepreneurial mindset and innovation Market research and opportunity analysis Business planning and budgeting Marketing fundamentals Participants are guided in developing a basic business idea and initial business plan. 5. Entering the WorkforceThis module prepares learners for employment through: Skills identification and self-assessment CV and cover letter writing Job search strategies Interview preparation and professional communication Interactive elements such as gamification and progress-tracking motivate learners and reward course completion. Overall Course Objectives The online course aims to replicate and extend the impact of the in-person Livelihood Hub program. By completing the modules, participants should be able to: Strengthen mental health awareness and emotional resilience Rebuild confidence and establish personal and professional goals Develop digital literacy skills for employment opportunities Explore entrepreneurship or other income-generating activities Create effective job application materials Prepare for interviews and workplace communication Role Responsibilities The Online Course Content Developer will lead the design and adaptation of training materials into interactive e-learning modules. Key responsibilities include: Reviewing and adapting existing course materials in English and Farsi Designing engaging online modules for self-paced learning Collaborating with graphic designers to incorporate multimedia elements Working with technical teams to upload content to the Seefar Academy platform Testing and optimizing course functionality and user experience Deliverables During the consultancy, the developer will produce several key outputs: Course Architecture Document Structured outline of all modules Defined learning objectives Sequencing of lessons and interactive components Assessment and evaluation methods Fully Developed Online Course Interactive modules uploaded to Seefar Academy Quizzes, videos, reflection prompts, and knowledge checks Progress tracking and module assessments Farsi/Dari Adaptation Bilingual course development preferred If translation is required, the developer must ensure the English version is translation-ready. Testing and Quality Assurance Report Summary of user testing outcomes Recommendations for improvements and optimization Platform Specifications Document Technical requirements for platform functionality Assessment mechanisms and tracking tools Low-Bandwidth Accessibility Plan Given the connectivity challenges in Afghanistan, the course must include: Compressed media files Downloadable content options Offline-friendly formats Minimal reliance on streaming video Candidate Requirements Essential Qualifications Minimum three years of experience in online curriculum design or instructional development Proven experience creating digital learning modules Strong ability to simplify complex concepts into accessible learning content Experience with learning management systems or online learning platforms Strong collaboration skills with multimedia and design teams Excellent written English Preferred Qualifications Strong written Farsi or Dari skills Experience working in humanitarian or development contexts Knowledge of Afghanistan or similar environments Experience teaching or facilitating online learning Working Arrangements This role is structured as an independent remote consultancy. The Content Developer will report to Seefar’s Strategic Communications Lead and collaborate with project staff, designers, and technical platform teams.
