Systemic Justice is a Europe-based organisation working to transform how justice is understood, accessed, and shaped. It partners directly with communities affected by racial, social, and economic injustice, using strategic litigation as a tool for systemic change. The organisation is recognised as the first Black-founded and majority BPOC-led initiative in Europe to centre a community-driven and intersectional approach to litigation. Its model positions impacted communities not as passive beneficiaries but as co-strategists who actively define priorities, shape legal strategies, and drive long-term systemic reform. Systemic Justice operates across multiple interconnected workstreams that include: Strengthening community capacity to use legal systems strategically Co-designing and advancing community-led strategic litigation Building a collaborative community of practice for litigation-focused NGOs Promoting shared learning in racial, social, economic, and environmental justice Purpose of the Role Systemic Justice is recruiting a temporary Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support during a leadership transition and strategic reflection period in 2026. The role supports three key structures within the organisation: Executive Director Senior Leadership Team (SLT) Legal Team Supervisory Board (as required) The position is highly varied and requires strong organisational capability, discretion, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced remote environment. Employment Details Position type: Temporary consultancy Working time: 4 days per week (32 hours) Duration: 6 months (starting ASAP) Location: Remote (must be based in the UK, Denmark, Germany, or the Netherlands with valid work rights) Compensation: Approximately €35–€55 per hour (inclusive of VAT, subject to consultancy framework) Key Responsibilities Legal Team Support The Administrative Assistant will support operational and coordination needs within the Legal Team, including: Scheduling meetings with community partners and partners in the community of practice Supporting logistics for workshops and events, including: Venue or digital platform coordination Participant communication Preparation of materials such as agendas and printed resources Maintaining organised and updated case and file management systems Liaising with suppliers and the Finance Team for invoice processing and payments Senior Leadership Team Support Support will include administrative coordination across leadership functions: Organising recurring leadership meetings Preparing agendas, distributing documents, and recording meeting minutes Coordinating internal scheduling across departments Managing SLT travel arrangements, including: Bookings and itineraries Expense reporting and reconciliation Executive Director Support The role includes direct executive assistance to the Executive Director: Preparing board meeting materials such as agendas, reports, and presentations Attending meetings and recording minutes where required Tracking action points and following up with internal and external stakeholders Coordinating with the Supervisory Board on scheduling and logistics Managing sensitive and confidential information with strict discretion Core Requirements and Competencies The ideal candidate is expected to demonstrate the following: Prior experience in administrative support, executive assistance, or operations roles Experience supporting senior leadership in a professional setting is advantageous Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines consistently Experience working with communities impacted by structural inequality is an asset Commitment to anti-racism and social justice values Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently in a fully remote, multi-time-zone environment High level of professionalism when handling confidential information Additional requirements: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential Demonstrated sound judgement and reliability in administrative decision-making Application Process Key Dates Application deadline: 30 April 2026 First-round interviews (online): 5–6 May 2026 Second-round interviews (online): 11 May 2026 How to Apply Applicants are required to submit: A current CV Written responses to the following questions (maximum 300 words each): Why are you interested in working for Systemic Justice?
