The African Fine Coffees Association (AFCA) is seeking a Program Officer to join its team and support the coordination of the EUDR Learning Community for Africa. This multi-stakeholder platform brings together public institutions, private sector actors, producer organizations, and development partners to navigate the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and strengthen sustainable coffee supply chains across the continent. About the EUDR Learning Community for Africa The Learning Community is a collaborative initiative developed in partnership with the Committee on Sustainability Assessment (COSA) and supported by the GIZ SAFE Project. Its primary goal is to facilitate: Peer exchange among stakeholders across Africa Knowledge sharing on compliance and sustainability practices Practical collaboration to support responsible market access Strengthening sustainable coffee supply chains Through this platform, participants gain insights into regulatory requirements, share best practices, and collaborate on initiatives that enhance traceability and sustainability in coffee production. Role Overview The Program Officer will play a key role in coordinating activities, managing stakeholder engagement, and supporting the operational and strategic objectives of the EUDR Learning Community for Africa. Key responsibilities include: Coordinating multi-stakeholder initiatives and facilitating collaboration across public and private sectors Organizing workshops, webinars, and peer learning sessions Supporting knowledge management, including documentation, reporting, and dissemination of insights Maintaining relationships with partners, producers, and stakeholders Monitoring project progress and contributing to strategic planning and evaluation This role requires a proactive, organized, and collaborative professional who is able to navigate complex stakeholder environments and support sustainability initiatives effectively.
