Role Overview The Video Call Speaking Supervisor role focuses on supporting examiners and test centres during live speaking assessments conducted through video calls. The position ensures that testing processes run smoothly while maintaining compliance with the organisation’s operational and quality standards. The supervisor acts as a central point of coordination between examiners, test centres, and support teams, helping resolve technical or operational issues during assessments. This ensures that speaking tests are delivered effectively and that candidates’ results are processed accurately and on time. Operational Coordination Schedule and allocate speaking tests to Global Hub Examiners Coordinate with multiple test centres across different time zones Share speaking results with test centres in a timely manner Issue Resolution and Support Serve as the escalation point for examiners and test centres Troubleshoot operational or technical issues during live sessions Perform system-related “super user” tasks to resolve problems Process Management and Improvement Support the implementation of new operational processes Organise training and assessments for examiners Monitor service delivery to ensure compliance with quality standards and KPIs Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency Stakeholder Communication Maintain effective working relationships with internal teams Provide timely, professional responses to operational queries Collaborate with global support teams to ensure consistent service delivery Candidate Requirements The British Council seeks candidates who demonstrate strong operational capabilities and a commitment to delivering high-quality services. Work Environment and Conditions The role is structured as a fixed-term contract lasting one year, located on-site in Noida. Important work conditions include: Fully on-site role, five days per week 24/7 operational schedule with rotating shifts Possible night shifts depending on global testing schedules Two days off per week, which may not always fall on weekends Because the role supports a global network of examiners and test centres, flexibility and adaptability to shift-based work environments are essential.
