The Mines Advisory GrouP (MAG) is seeking a Regional Programmes Support Coordinator to join its team in Manchester. This full-time, on-site role offers a starting salary of £35,604 per annum, alongside a comprehensive benefits package. Organisational Context The Mines Advisory Group operates in over 30 countries, working to make land safe and support communities affected by conflict. The organisation is internationally recognised for its contributions to humanitarian disarmament and was a co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1997 for its role in campaigning for the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention. MAG’s work spans: Landmine and unexploded ordnance clearance Weapons and ammunition management Armed violence reduction initiatives Community safety and recovery programmes Role Overview The Regional Programmes Support Coordinator acts as a central coordination point for a portfolio of country programmes. The role supports programme delivery, donor engagement, and business development across multiple regions. Key aspects of the role include: Supporting country strategies and business plans Managing donor relationships and reporting requirements Coordinating multi-country programme activities Contributing to proposal development and funding acquisition The role requires collaboration with global teams, including Regional Directors and Country Management Teams. Core Responsibilities Programme Coordination and Support Act as the focal point for a portfolio of regional programmes Support implementation of country strategies and operational plans Facilitate coordination between headquarters and field teams Ensure effective internal communication across departments Donor Engagement and Grant Management Maintain and strengthen relationships with institutional donors Ensure compliance with donor requirements and contractual obligations Review and support the preparation of: Proposals Budgets Narrative and financial reports Business Development Conduct research to identify funding opportunities Contribute to proposal writing and programme design Support strategic engagement with donors and partners Representation and External Engagement Represent programme portfolios internally and externally Support coordination across multiple programmes and stakeholders Contribute to organisational visibility and partnership development Travel Requirements Undertake international travel to programme locations (approximately 25% of working time) Candidate Profile The role requires a highly organised and proactive professional with strong experience in international programme support.
