The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is currently recruiting a Senior Financial Analyst to join its global Finance & Accounting team. This full-time, remote role offers an opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organisation that works to protect the lands and waters upon which all life depends. The position is open globally, subject to legal and employment requirements in countries where TNC has established entities. Role Overview The Senior Financial Analyst reports to the Associate Director, Financial Planning, Reporting & Analysis (FPR&A). The role is responsible for the design, development, and management of financial models, reporting frameworks, analytics, and planning processes across the organisation. The position plays a critical role in supporting enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. As a subject matter expert, the Senior Financial Analyst serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and collaborates closely with finance, operations, and data teams to strengthen financial insight, data integrity, and organisational performance. Key Responsibilities and Scope Data and Analytics Develop and maintain recurring datasets and reports using Power BI, drawing from multiple data sources. Create ad hoc analytical models to support management decision-making. Support Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team reporting with financial and data analysis. Design and maintain dashboards that improve financial transparency and accountability. Integrate and model data across systems to generate deeper, data-driven insights. Manage financial analytics processes including reporting, forecasting, and modeling. Budgeting, Forecasting, and Multi-Year Planning Support annual budgeting by developing reference materials and guidance for internal stakeholders. Contribute to TNC’s multi-year financial planning processes through data analysis and consolidation. Coordinate with IT and Finance teams to ensure systems and data readiness. Support the collection, documentation, and communication of budget assumptions. Participate in budget support calls as a subject matter expert. Design and develop budget and forecast reports using Adaptive Planning and Office Connect tools. Special Projects and Initiatives Support implementation and optimisation of systems such as Workday and Adaptive. Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Analytics teams to enhance dashboard functionality. Lead or contribute to initiatives that improve financial efficiency and reporting quality. Provide insights to improve organisational financial effectiveness. Support strategic and high-impact finance-related projects. Governance, Compliance, and Operations Ensure alignment with FPR&A strategic priorities. Maintain compliance with organisational policies, financial standards, and regulatory requirements. Support integration of financial processes across departments. Monitor and strengthen internal financial controls and reporting practices. Candidate Profile TNC is seeking a finance professional with strong analytical expertise, excellent communication skills, and experience working in complex, matrixed organisations. Key qualifications and competencies include: Extensive experience in corporate finance or equivalent roles. Strong understanding of ERP systems, particularly Workday. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems. Demonstrated experience with Power BI and large datasets. Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Ability to act as a resource and advisor to senior staff. Experience managing and developing staff. Ability to work independently and manage complexity. Multilingual and multicultural experience is an advantage. Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills. Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of seven years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with GAAP and corporate financial reporting. Proven experience developing and maintaining financial reports from ERP or general ledger systems. Experience with budgeting and forecasting software solutions. Experience implementing moderately complex technical and financial systems. Salary and Compensation This role may be based in any country where TNC operates. Compensation is determined by geographic location, experience, and skill set. U.S.-based salary range: USD 91,120 – USD 147,000 annually. For non-U.S. locations, compensation will be based on local market benchmarks. Final compensation is determined by qualifications, experience, and location.
