Recruitment Consultants for Skilled Migrant Placement in Germany The SUSTAIN project invites experienced recruitment and HR professionals to partner as Individual Talent Managers supporting the placement of skilled STEM candidates from Nigeria into employment opportunities in Germany. This opportunity is designed for professionals who are motivated to bridge labour market gaps while upholding ethical recruitment standards. Context The initiative operates in collaboration with the German and Nigerian governments to address persistent labour shortages across engineering, data processing, specialist health roles, and other STEM sectors. To achieve this, the project seeks partnerships with knowledgeable individual recruiters and consultants who can contribute their market insight and professional networks. These partners will play a central role in• Analysing and understanding employer demand• Building and maintaining relationships with German employers• Supporting Nigerian candidates throughout the placement journey Opportunity Overview Selected Talent Acquisition Specialists will receive a monthly retainer complemented by performance-based bonuses. The compensation structure reflects the value placed on high quality candidate support and successful placement outcomes. The role offers the chance to work directly with vetted Nigerian STEM candidates and to engage with German businesses that are actively seeking international talent. Key Deliverables The project is seeking individual partners who can confidently deliver the following• Identification of employer needs and effective matching of candidates to available roles• Guidance and preparation for candidates ahead of interviews and potential placements• Continuous engagement with participating employers to ensure a smooth recruitment process and sustainable employment outcomes• Full adherence to fair recruitment standards and ethical practices aligned with international principlesAdditional deliverables may be agreed upon during the contracting phase, depending on partner expertise and the evolving needs of the project. Eligibility Requirements Applicants must meet the following criteria• Operate as an individual professional fluent in both English and German• Hold at least five years of experience as a recruiter, HR consultant, or talent manager• Demonstrate familiarity with German labour market practices or experience placing candidates in Germany• Show evidence of strong ethical recruitment practices consistent with ILO guidelines• Maintain good professional and financial standing Desirable Qualifications While not required, the project welcomes candidates who can bring additional strengths, such as• Previous experience recruiting from Africa, particularly Nigeria• Background in STEM-focused recruitment• Experience working on grant-funded or internationally supported recruitment initiatives Application Process Interested professionals are invited to complete the application form by 8 December 2025.
