About the MGG Academy 2026: IDOS Programme for Global Development & Event Management A key component of the programme is the MGG Academy, an English-language training initiative designed for emerging leaders from developing and industrialised countries. The 2026 Academy will run from 11 September to 29 November 2026 in Bonn. Interns will play a crucial role in preparing and delivering this high-impact international programme. IDOS Programme for Global Development & Event Management: Internship Overview Position: Internship in MGG Academy Team (International Cooperation & Event Management) Location: Bonn, Germany Duration: 3 months Start Date: 1 September 2026 Application Deadline: 15 May 2026 Compensation: €450/month (full-time, 40 hours/week) Key Responsibilities This internship offers a dynamic mix of coordination, communication, and creative work. Selected candidates will: Support and guide international participants throughout their stay, including arrivals, departures, and study trips (e.g., to Brussels) Assist in organising and delivering training sessions and workshops Contribute to social media strategy and communications planning Capture and edit photo and video content using DSLR cameras Prepare training materials, evaluations, and reports (including Excel-based analysis) Provide administrative and logistical support to the project team Candidate Requirements IDOS is seeking motivated and organised students who meet the following criteria: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme (any field) Initial experience in event management, communications, or public relations Interest in international politics, sustainability, and global cooperation Strong German and English language skills (written and spoken) Familiarity with MS Office tools; knowledge of digital collaboration tools is a plus Experience in photo/video editing is desirable Strong interpersonal, organisational, and intercultural skills Additional advantages include prior experience working with international groups and knowledge of additional languages.
